It lets you enjoy 4.04BB on 1.1.4 with 3.9BL yet still having the option to return your BL to its original 4.6

Edit : added 1.1.4

How bout the BB? I have the option to return to its original BB as well? And anyone try it b4 and any success story? With 4.04BB we can use the google map without located me rite? What else the benefits with 4.04BB and 3.9BL? Sorry for asking so much question.. And thx to kiasu bro!
*
Yes, you'll be able to return your BB to its original state using virginizer under 3.9BL (3.9BL fakeblank included)
Google triangular location can be used under 4.03BB or 4.04BB, it seems that other than the Google map thing, there's nothing significant for 4.04BB

BTW, the Google locate me thing is not accurate as it's not the real GPS, moreover, it need WiFi and your telco tower's info, if no such tower info available then the program also cant locate you, just like my case: useless.

I have a question. Has anyone able to use chinese input in SMS-ing yet?
*
Yes, I use iCosta For 1.1.3 which also works for 1.1.4 in SMS

On WeTool to work in 1.1.3 or 1.1.4, you have to create link for the app to function...

Either use Putty or Terminal or the command function in WinSCP to input the following:

ln -s /var/mobile/Library/AddressBook /var/root/Library/
ln -s /var/mobile/Library/CallHistory /var/root/Library/
ln -s /var/mobile/Library/Notes /var/root/Library/
ln -s /var/mobile/Library/SMS /var/root/Library/

You can remove the data files in the old root directory, however, please be sure there is nothing that you want to retain; alternatively, use TimeCapsule to create backup, run the following command and restore using TimeCapsule [BTW, I'm not sure whether the following steps are necessary]

rm -r /var/root/Library/AddressBook/
rm -r /var/root/Library/CallHistory/
rm -r /var/root/Library/Notes/
rm -r /var/root/Library/SMS/

white mice oso can la ... if no one try then how to know what problem arise from this and help others right? kiasukiasi ... ur on 1.1.4 right? Got few questions ... i tot the apps should be in /private/var/mobile or izzit just the Library? Looks like appsupport fix is not for the phone os sms crash. Its for phone number matching. My bad ... still thinking 1.1.2 hehehehehehe. Need to upgrade my knowledge sumore. Telesphoreo is far superior than BSD subsystem so i recommend users if u just restore, use cydia telesphoreo rather than the OLD BSD subsystem. No need SUID or Term backspace issue fix. I can even change the password to SSH whereas if using BSD, the system would crash. One more thing i notice is that when i disable EDGE from bosspref (services don't work for me this time), the phone loss signal and wifi and return back after finish disabling (take like 1-2 secs). This don't happen on 1.1.2 using services. No problem so far ... the battery seems to improve. 1% battery depleted within 6 hours of standby. Ok ... thats the initial findings.  thumbup.gif

Most apps should be in the /private/var/mobile except for some. e.g. weTools and weDict where we have to do some manual link adjustment. You are most probably right on AppSupport but I didn't study this, hehe...

I agree with you that Cydia is better, I'm using both Cydia and Installer... I encounter what you mentioned on disabling EDGE using BossPref too...

BTW, I didn't change my SSH password yet, how ah? Just type "passwd" using Terminal?

If I'm not mistaken, there are three "Library" under 113/114.
/private/var/mobile/Library
/private/var/root/Library
/Library

Some apps created their data folders under /root/Library e.g. weTools [thus the need to link AddressBook, CallHistory, SMS]... but most apps should be under /mobile/Library

The /Library is ringtones, wallpapaers, frameworks, etc.

rclxub.gif This was answered many times... you can either use BBInfo or HWInfo to check your BL... both app can be download from trejan's repository... use Google to search "trejan" if can't get it...

Err... no need to install other thing, the only thing that I can think of is to change your Asian font in setting-general-international to Chinese. And yes, we can read Chinese SMS and those Chinese website all showing Chinese charactres..

Yes!!! Managed to start the Customize 1.21 on my 1.1.4 iPhone. Here's what I did...

Add repo.ispazio.net into your Installer sources and you should be able to install 1.1.4 Compatibility Patch under Tweaks(1.1.4) category. The patch will fool apps that require 1.1.3 to think that your 1.1.4 is running on 1.1.3. You should be able to install Customize 1.21 now.

IMPORTANT : Remember to uninstall 1.1.4 Compatibility Patch immediately after you finish installing the 1.1.3 compatible app. I'm not sure what will happen if you did not uninstall the patch but I suspect that your iPhone will crash.

Now I'm gonna see whether the changes that I'm gonna make in Customize take effect or not...

EDIT :
Changes made by launching Customize is not taking effect.

So I try launching Customize using Terminal by entering the following -
su
/Applications/Customize.app/Customize

This time, the customization is effective... rclxm9.gif rclxms.gif thumbup.gif

/Applications/Customize.app/Customize
?? how am i to do this??

You can either use Terminal or Putty or Commands-OpenTerminal function of WinSCP to enter the Unix commands in order to lauch Customize using super user ID so that any changes will be from "real" root, i.e. enable Customize to register your customization.

Edit: Typo

besides, Malaysia is too small a market to waste time on.
Apple's better off concentrating in bigger markets such as China/Australia/Japan.

Precisely, but Bolehland poeple are still dreaming of official iPhone... doh.gif

BTW, I tried to push all 12 stock icons to second page [leaving the original 4 at the bottom] so that I can apprecite the wallpaper... but everytime the SpringBoard put the 12 icons back to first page... vmad.gif
Seems like I need to put a transparent icon from a dummy app... last time saw a thread on this but forgot liao, anybody recall this kind of dummy app?
