Thanks a lot for your feedback, Kataro
. I wouldn't dare to conclude anything at this time, but so far I think I have solved the problem
. I wonder it is my ICH9R controller got problem or the SATA port itself. What I did was move the Seagate 500GB HDD (system drive) from SATA port 0 to SATA port 2 and the Samsung 120GB HDD (backup drive) from SATA port 2 to SATA port 4. Voila ~ the read/write delay and HDD error already stop showing up
.
I happen to do this when I tried to copy a set of files from My Document in my Seagate HDD to a backup folder in my Samsung HDD. That time the Seagate HDD still on SATA port 0 and my Samsung HDD on SATA port 2. During the copying process, the files like getting delay and stuck once a while. In the end, the system hang and I'll need to force reset the system and go through the bootup sequence problem like I mentioned in my first post. Tried to copy the files thrice and all also suffering system hang in the end. Then I will have those errors in my Event Viewer.
Then the next I switched to as I mentioned in this post, the Seagate HDD to SATA port 2 and Samsung HDD to SATA port 4. Till now I didn't receive any more error regarding HDD or bootup
. It wasn't me alone with this problem, I tried googling (iastor error) and even some LYN forumer also experiencing the same. Weird case honestly...
I just tweaked my OCZ ram to 4-4-4-12 @ 2.0V and tested with memtest86+, no error encountered and passed all the test. Thanks god that my ram is safe and good to use
Perhaps it just tat u got a faulty sata port? I happen to do this when I tried to copy a set of files from My Document in my Seagate HDD to a backup folder in my Samsung HDD.
