(Delayed) Breaking news for all - My parents are frequent flyers with AA. However, during the last CNY, they encountered the most unpleasant experience of having the plane returned to base from KL - Chiang Mai and AGAIN from Chiang Mai to KL. The first flight lasted almost 40 mins before they have to turn around due to 'technical glitches'. The return flight flew for 10 mins before they turned back for the same reason. Each repair took 30 mins to remedy. As a result my parents were delayed around 1 to 2 hours for each trip.

I know many of you have encountered flight delays with AirAsia and so have I. However, this is far more serious and scary. I can provide the flight details if anyone needs them to verify. Are the planes getting old? Overload due to CNY peak season? Anyone having second thoughts now about flying with AA?
