Hi cheese85,

Forget it if you are trying to get the zero fare...unless your travelling date is very very off peak season then got zero fare...

anyone use the web check in facility? any good?
*
print boarding pass at home.., so that can bypass the long line at check in counter. Then be at the airport 1hr before flight time to drop your check in baggage. I know at LCCT, if domestic flight, baggage drop is at counter 68 or 69. If no check in baggage, still need to go there, show the boarding pass and get it "stamp".

alternate method, use the check in kiosk at the airport.

Hi Air Asia experts, Im going to Bangkok this Dec. I want to confirm my time to check if there`s no delays.
Where to check ya? will they inform me if there`s any delay.. if yes when?
*
I think you meant flight time changes or flight rescheduled?

Go to "Manage Booking" (under "Manage My Booking'), and find your itinerary. It'll be shown there if the flight time is rescheduled, and with this, the flight number will be different too.

I've previously received sms and e-mail notification about changes. But I've heard some complaints never received notification.

Actually if you have no bag to check in, you can go through at the guard there. They will "stamp" for you.
*
Oh, now the guard can "stamp" liao ah? Last time, the guard is the one that asked me to go and stamp first.

Like that, why bother to "stamp" ah?

I am taking flight from LCCT to Macau at 12:15P.M but i am located at johor bahru so i have to take flight from j.b to LCCT at 9:25A.M and arrive at 10:10A.M. I am wondering whether i can check in on time for my macau flight.

I m new to air asia flight and i m afraid of missing flight. Please advice. thank you.
*
If you've already bought the tickets, and not allowed to change the flight/date/time, then no choice liao.. You just have to pray that all goes well. Once arrive at LCCT, quickly make your way to the international departure for check in. May consider web check-in at home first.

I suggest that you DO NOT check in any baggage at Senai.

If you booked the tickets many many months ago, check your booking periodically to make sure that the flights' are still as scheduled when you booked. Hopefully, they don't siao siao change the Macau flight to earlier timing. If they do, you can approach AA to change the flight to LCCT, without charges.

Hello! I am a 1st-timer, Please help!!

1) I have bought 2 FS tickets. My tickets have been sent to me, debts are cleared but I could not see them in my 'manage booking'. Does this happen to you? Anything I can do?

2) How can I pay the extra drinks bought on AAX? cc/dc/ cash?

3) My flight PG-KL will be departing on 8.15am & my next flight KL-LONDON will be on 12.30pm. Is this a worth-taking risk?

thanks!
*
1) "Manage Booking" -> "Manage My Booking" -> for non-member, fill in Booking number, Departure date, Origin City, Destination City, Contact e-mail -> "Find Itinerary"
If doesn't work, try again another day.

2) Drinks onboard, pay by cash - ringgit.

3) The risk is there. Anything can happen - PEN-KUL delay? KUL-STN reschedule to earlier time?
Worth taking the risk or not? Up to you, can you take risk?

re: Convenience Fee
- when I first posted the news here, even though not happy with the new add on, some how, we make jokes of it: -
Just beware, next time you might be charged for using the toilet on flight!

re: rude AA staff
- at least we Malaysian are quite kind. We just complaint and talk it out here. Most of the time, NATO nia.

- can imagine if it's other country people, they might have taken video and post it on Youtube liao..

Can we not use the automatic kiosk to print boarding pass. Instead, go counter print. Last I print, both ticket print together but seat not together (diff row). looks random
*
When you go to the kiosk, it's called "self check-in", ie DIY check in and get your boarding pass. You can always go to the counter to check-in, just join the queue.

So long as you didn't pay and pre-book the seat, you'd suffer the same fate - up to the system to assign seat.

Seating arrangement - if you are not paying for the seat, you can try whatever way to check in, but, still it all depends on your luck!

There are people who did not pre-book the seat, and check in late, lucky for them, dapat sit in front row - the hot seat that's worth RM25!

There are people who check in early, get to sit together, but at the back rows. Then there are also people who are seperated but at least get to sit in the front rows.

So, it's all LUCK, or just pay for it! Even the check in counter staff has no control over the seating arrangement system.

Oh, you better don't ask, or you'll kena like stimix, he asked and kena separated - purposely!

So far, I've only paid once for the seats - KUL-HKG-KUL, for 3 pax.

Surprise = don't know what you'll get, don't know how it taste like etc.

I've read about Aussies complaining that their kids won't even touch the chicken nuggets in their kid's meal...

Hi, I want to book ticket to Aussie, but I want to save money instead of picking the seats. Is there any way to ensure me and my gf will get a seat side by side without paying this fee?
*
It's up to the computer system. "NORMALLY", if under the same booking, and check in at the counter at the same time, the system will assign sitting together. However, might not be side by side. It can be one person in front and one at the back row, eg seat no 6A and 7A. And may also be separated by the aisle, eg seat no 6C and 6D.

And now, very important - don't ask the counter staff for sitting together, just keep quiet (better learn from stimix's bad experience).

IMHO, to avoid disappointment, just pay for the seats lah.. You could have already save a lot by flying budget airline, rather than the full service airline.

If you check AA periodically, seems like forever got promotions one lah..., one after another, the only difference is the booking period and travelling period.

Anyway, take note hor, nowadays AA suka suka quoting All In Fare, suka suka fare not inclusive of tax. Tadak standard punya.

Few weeks ago,I read in the Chinese paper, Guang Ming Daily, the president of Penang Consumer Association has voiced his concern re the convenience fee.

Anyway, just remember that we still have the choice of making payment by direct debit from bank account to avoid the fee.

I thought the worse of it:
What if AA do not impose this convenience fee, but just increase the airfare by RM5 to cover this so-called "convenience"?

Ha ha, ya, right, AA is so smart - to make you fork out more money!!

It is also quite "tricky" when the GoInsure is added during booking, if you do not want it, you have to click "cancel" and not "yes"..

Attention, Check your booking ASAP!!

Many flights from April onwards have been re-timed/re-scheduled!!!

Pen - KK, departure time from 10.15am changed to 8.05pm! On 10th March, I baru added nasi lemak, now from breakfast become supper.

KL - Pen, departure time from 4.30pm, changed to 9.45pm! This one I went to Air Asia office and have changed to another flight that departs at 3.55pm.

Flight + hotel also suffers the same fate if that particular flight is re-timed. Wah, you thought you bought flight + hotel then that plane only takes all flight + hotel pax, chartered plane meh? lol

All these are just "luck". I treat booking with Air Asia macam gambling. And I am not complaining, coz my KL-Pen flight only costs me $9, booked since Aug, 09!!!

You'll never know when Air Asia decides to change their time table. May even book today for future flight, and the next day new schedule comes out - time changed.

The good thing is, if the re-scheduled time is inconvenient to you, can just go to the office (I don't bother to call) and change to the one that suits you, for free.

Very important to check from time to time, coz even if AA do sms/e-mail re change of time, sometimes it's too late liao. Worse, some people do not receive updates from AA...
