ouch ethan1981

I'm also getting my BLM there... hope that my experience later won't be as bad as yours

Hmm... your new BLM wouldn't be M line AT? Color err... silver or golden or something... can't remember as it was dark
I test drive a M line AT on Tuesday there and the mileage there is already showed 185km which could be yours. When I tested the car, the brake seems kinda hard. I asked my SA, he said the car just came out of factory and no err... "PID" tunning is done, that is why the break is hard...

Oh well, just sharing only

QUOTE(Ethan1981 @ Mar 13 2008, 08:59 AM)

6. When I wash the car yesterday night, I realized that the small cover on the middle of my rim  (Left side) is missing. I checked the right side, it suppose to come with a small proton logo at the middle.
*
ethan... about that small cover, there could be a possibility that they forgot to cover them back. This is because they purposely take it off to avoid them be stolen. Either they keep them in the office or they hide it in the car, usually somewhere at the spare tire there. Just try checking your car and find them. If still nothing, just ask your SA maybe he has forgotton to cover them back. BUT, try NOT to make it sound like it is his fault. Just tell him you understand that the cover need to be taken off to avoid them being stolen and they might have forgotton to put it back when you take your car because those are small stuffs

Good Luck

Wow, lots of things to check when getting the car
Hmm... can anyone list down in the first post of this thread on what should we check when we are getting our BLM? Even small things like rim's small cap in the middle experienced by ethan1981, door knobs.. etc.

wow
today i went to giant to get something
then saw a blue saga there. I was like hmm... doesn't really look strinking as what we see in the brochure. Then I see another one, a green saga. I was like WOW, damn... it looks much more striking. It looks more metallic compared to the blue one.

Then I ask my SA, is the blue one metallic. He said yeah....
Wow....

I'm trying to get a change to green now

40k... later put in so many features sure more than 40k
they have to chop this and that and leave the only the necessary
even the auto lock is chopped... yeah, most SA i asked say there is no autolock feature, just the central lock

Zzzz...
Got a bad news from my SA's manager just now
He said that I need to deliver my trade in car to him by tonight !!
Of course for that he will try to get my BLM ready by tonight !!
I don't like all this rushing here and there. Sure he will ask for extra money... well, he did anyway.... he said that he need extra RM150 to get the number right now. Ask me to pay first, but I refused, though he said he will use his own money first.

I don't think my loan is approved yet because the bank has yet to call me back after their phone interview (do they call to say approved?). Wonder how is he going to settle everything in half a day... hope that I won't get cheated or any unfortunate things happened...

Well, wish me luck... its green blm auto M line

Zzz....
Just received SMS from my SA
Due to I need car fast, he said my car plate number will cost me total RM600... had to pay no choice because my old car already give to him last week friday to secure a better price, now no car, can't go out

RM600.... sigh
thats RM250 extra out of the supposed to be RM350

Reason he said is
".. i register number u... sbb u nak ari nie i kena pakai runner... so total utk number u rm600... WRD XXXX... ok ya"

What else to say except, "ok la"
haizzz....

zzzz....
now my SA called again
He said number get already, but JPJ office closed because it is 5.00pm already

But he say, add another RM50, he can get the JPJ office to register it and get it done now....

thats total RM650 for a plate number
same as what ethan experienced, same amount but different story

RM650 !!!!

Added on March 24, 2008, 5:19 pmSigh, so the promised 4.00pm to deliver has now been broken

Now he say at night can...
night means I have to be careful when inspecting the car before signing the papers

Haiizzz...

And you know the best part, my SA's manager asked me to introduce to him customers. With all this problems .... better think twice

Just to repeat again, this is the Kelana Jaya branch inside Giant Hypermarket

OK got my car at 9.30pm just now

1. Glue marks on the screen. The SA say the glue marks is due to umm.. the paper stick on the screen. Car washer should know how to take it off... Well, its night, none is open

2. My back seat right door cannot unlock. Have to pull it up manually to unlock. Sometimes hard to pull up. SA say to make a trip to SC at Jalan 227. The SA looks puzzled about the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI). At the same time he can introduce those SC people to me. Well, looks like its weekend for this

3. I think some have experience this. After taken the car. Go for a ride. From time to time, I felt that there is light inside. The light is actually my err.. car inside light on top, the door open one. The faster I drive, the light is more frequent. Stopped at the road side, nothing. Push the door (driver side), light comes out. This goes same to the dashboard warning light on door open. Push a bit, light lits. Now I need to switch of the light in order to drive.

4. Sound. All I hear is ooo-ooo-ooo sound. Not too loud but can be heard inside. Don't know what is the correct sound. This is during idle time. Ask SA, SA shake head, dunno what is it. They say, want to know more, ask SC

5. Plastic cover. Front seat ok, can take the plastic cover off. Back seat hard because the back seat cannot fold down. So have to take as much as possible out. Left a bit, push inside the cushion. This is at the top of the seat.

6. No ABS. Well, first time drive car with no ABS. This time have to press more in order for the brake to engage.

7. Did some drive. Max speed I did was 60km/h... already feel fast. Hahaha... well, different feeling compared to Perdana.

8. That #*$(#$*@ SA went and stick my roadtax. Zzzz.... later I hope the tinting people know how to take it off without breaking it.

9. Petrol - none given by SA. Pumped RM60. Bar full already. Didn't pump full tank. Never did actually.

10. KM on the car before handing the keys to me - 65km. I think it is acceptable because of the trips to SC for PID checking. According to the manager, from proton plant to proton edar, a PID is done. Then when customer confirm to take the car, then another trip to SC for PID.

11. Free Gifts? Hand towel from Insurance. Tinting voucher of RM300 discount for Rhino Cool. It is tint + break safety. Tomorrow he asked me to see him again for a free lock, don't know is it steering or pedal lock, I think steering lock cuz it is cheaper. And if not mistaken, maybe an umbrella

12. One item missing - antenna. SA say to get from him tomorrow because the admin is closed. Wonder why he didn't get it earlier.

Thats all for 2 hours.

Sleep time, tomorrow drive to work.

eh, want to ask about tinting
jpj say 70% front, 50% back right?

so is it ok to be more or less?
example, front 73% vs 63%, which is ok, which is not?
thanks

my loan is from rhb bank at 3.75% for 9 years
rate is low, but may give one problem, small to some - takes a week to approve

public bank giving me 3.99% for 9 years, but they can get them approve in one day

About the tint, yeah I'm refering to the amount of light passing through the tint. So more is ok then. Less than 70% light is not ok. I see that most of the ecotint is at 63% light... at 7% difference, would it matter to the eyes of the law enforcement?
