QUOTE(westthen @ Apr 15 2008, 11:57 AM)
anyone here knows any SC around KL which will deal with complaints on sat?

i booked my service with the Proton Edar SC in Cheras, the guy told me if got complaints must come on weekdays then only they will be able to resolve it. If on weekends only servicing only.

Added on April 15, 2008, 12:07 pmanyway after driving the car for around a month d, the complaint i have is the fuel is slightly high around 20sen/km most probably because i always drive short distance to work and 100% city driving.

Besides that, this are the few problems i encountered with the car,

the door knob on the left side of the passenger door, the front left suspension the ( got sound weird noise during low speed) , one side of my signal light doesn't seems to light up when i lock or unlock my car and final one would be my driver seat seems to moving a bit when i accelerate or during heavy breaking. sweat.gif

Overall its a nice car, pretty stable during high speed. Altho it has its problems but i have already expected it laugh.gif but its acceptable just some minor problems for me. Hopefully will get it resolved once and for all during my visit to the SC at the end of this month.

One thing i noticed, the power window motor seems to be quite smooth compared with the old proton cars.

I've these too:
weird sound = absorber problem, go to SC, they will replace but expect to wait a week for them to order parts - they don't keep stocks. Get them fix fast as according to the SC I went, it WILL GET LOUDER!

SIGH
last time got krok krok krok sound on the left front passenger. That is absorber problem and got replaced with new one

NOW, the sound is on the right side, driver side. Haizzz....

But one thing.... when few days to schedule for replacement, the sound is gone on the left side. Maybe it takes sometime for the sound to go. Nvm.... if the sound goes louder, then I send to SC, else wait till another 1000km see how

Next, irratating plastic sound on the dashboard - left side, near the aircon outlet. When driving on uneven road, especially those brick roads, the sound is loud. When stopped, I slapped there, can hear the plastic sound. Slapped on the driver side ok. Think the plastic is not welded properly or something. Anyone has this issue?

there is 2 sound you can check

first. Stop. Off engine. Make sure all door closed and windows too. Best to be at a quite place. And also you sitting on the driver seat. You can bring someone and sit on the front passenger for 2nd pair or ears. And now, start SHAKING. Ya, shake while on the seat. Shake left and right. Shake Shake. If you hear sound, that is your absorber problem.

Then start to drive slow, around 20-40km/h. It should be the same sound as well.

Next sound, go look for bumpy roads, like those roads made of bricks. My sound comes from the passenger front seat. At first I thought it was the door. Send to SC, complained to them, nothing fixed. Then I started to listen carefully, driving on brick roads - yup sound on the passenger front, but not the door. It is the sound coming on top of the glove compartment. Not the place where ppl put tissue box, on top of that. Thats is my rattling sound on passenger front.

Stop the car and lightly slap on top of that. Same sound - that is to confirm the sound came from there

Guys, my saga is having 2150 mileage. Can I dont do service in one year time? I mean just change the "black oil"
*
cannot
you have to follow the service intervals, first 1000km, 5000km, 10000km, 20000km... etc
if you don't follow, it will void the warranty - you can check your service booklet for more info
