Hi Guys,
Have question regards plaster ceiling, hope sifu could give opinions. Thanks.
my new house comes with plain plaster ceiling 6 and 1/2 inches . Now the ceiling heigh left only 10ft.
Question: Can I do L-Box lighting just below the plain plaster ceiling? The vendor said the L-BOX will take up another 8 inches. No sure after adding the L-box will compromise the living room space.
Do i need to demolish the existing plaster ceiling before adding the L-box?

QUOTE(adrianjc @ Nov 29 2011, 04:07 PM) Adding the L-box to your existing plaster ceiling would make the edges of your room look lower as the L-box would sit on the perimeter of the room. With regards to L-Box size 8" is normal, but how wide will your L-Box be? To give a nice look, 1.5-2ft width of the L-Box is sufficient but this differs according to preference and the design you have in mind. With a 9ft + ceiling height, its is still ok. Have seen houses with 8ft ceilings. Hi Adrianjc, Thanks for you replied. The size of my living room is 16ft x 40ft. If given mention the size of living room, what is the width of L-Box will be appropriated? How about having 2 L-Box on the living room??
