Enuf!

Will wait for RT.

The end. biggrin.gif

No seriously though... I don't mind skipping a 0-70% RT film, whether Marvel/DC/highly-anticipated film. 84%+ and I'm in.

Audience would be far more forgiving.

Box office obviously would be a big hit regardless of critics/reception.

Good luck.

Just watch the damn movie, and then make up your mind la either it's trash or not. RM20 or less really is a big deal to you? Can buy and queue for expensive phones but kpkb about a freakin movie.

Eagerly depending on critics' score what for? Not like they have the same analysis as yours on any movie. Stop being sheeps following what others feel.

Geez, some guys here are the true definition of inferiority complex.
*
Eh... none of your concern how we (or anyone) should spend our money. Whether we wait for our moms to review or the movie critics. One should spend their money whether RM1 or RM10 on what they think they will enjoy best. Each to their own on how one sees a movie whether worth checking out or not. I'm pretty sure you will have an unbiased and very overwhelmingly positive take on the film, can't wait for that /sarcasm.

PS. ignore that Syathimaggot above, don't bother with a DC fanbois review, cause they'll obviously point out whatever they think is cool only. If you want other ppls opinion, get it from ppl who are neutral smile.gif

Blocked ages ago... but its an ugly sight each time enter a DC thread. Bonner killer. laugh.gif

Great review btw! thumbup.gif Looks like Snyder's 'trademark' again albeit much better than BvS.

Can't believe CGI can suck this day and age especially for a big budget film!

...and you have to wonder why shitty movies get big box office figures (e.g. M Bay's atrocities).

If don't know how to utilize 'consensus' (not rating mind you) websites, then deal with it if the movie turns out bad. laugh.gif

Believe it or not, BvS was my last rotten flick. Thank you Snyder!

Hate to be party pooper but the bad CGI, Ben Affleck's lack of motivation, Stephenwolff (did I spell it right) uncanny valley, disjointed plot... seems like a bad sequel.

I can safely say, Zack Snyder is now the M Bay of superhero films.

Not to defend Zack or anything, sure the film has flaws but so does MCU films, but difference is they don't receive as much hate as DCEU films. I think this whole 'hate DCEU is cool' thing has gone way overboard  whistling.gif

I have to disagree laugh.gif ... a good film is a good film and if it is otherwise, it will have the equivalent reception. There is no MCU/DCEU bias.

What about 'Wonder Woman' - - this is a DCEU film that critics loved, and I too found WW to be really good. It had plenty of wow moments including quite an emotional ending.

Marvel is not all with an excellent streak - - to me, the weakest had to be Iron Man 3 (average 7/10), Avengers 2 (6.7/10) and GotG 2 (7.2/10) in which I skipped.

But... even though these Marvel flicks were not that great, it is NOWHERE AS BAD as MoS (6.2/10), BvS (4.9/10) or the utterly atrocious Suicide Squad (4.8/10).

*These are the average rating from RT, not the 'big value' consensus score.

MoS was Snyder's last 'decent' flick IMO while his best work to date remains to be '300'.

Heck, I was hoping JL would break his bad streak but looks like it is just BvS 2.0.

I am hopeful for 'Aquaman (2018)' - - helmed by James Wan.

^A few comments above...

If a villain is bad, just admit it. After all, these could serve as a means to get the 'message' across, fan/audience feedback.

I just can't brain how this 'kid' keeps commenting in such an ill-mannered/offensive way each time.

It is as if he failed at school or basically was a disappointment to his parents, thus taking out his frustrations in the form of movie comments or being a hard headed fanboy.

Whatever the case may be as to how your mind works kid, I hope you will find someone who can truly appreciate you for how you are because truly... there is very little of you left to be respected.

I know you couldn't care less, then again, what else do you care.

Justice League Reshoots Erased Aquaman's Story

According to Momoa:

“There’s a place where [Aquaman] goes down to, and it got cut out of the movie. He knows spots where he can go and he can see these statues, the remnants of [Atlantis]. There’s Vulko–obviously we’ll have way more scenes with Vulko, Willem Dafoe–in Aquaman. There just wasn’t enough time in this movie.”

just came back home from my 7:40pm viewing at MYTOWN GSC MAXX ATMOS HALL 3

Well, I enjoyed the movie overall but I personally felt that it could've been a bit longer for character development, plot wise, and more action scenes. The amount of actions scenes in this movie was fairly acceptable but maybe more of Steppenwolf vs The justice league action scenes during the last fight.

So, the movie was a bit fast pace during the first 30 minutes or so but slowly it pick itself up to the right pacing. The actors really played their roll well, and as a team they really knew each other very well with that special bond among themselves.

Will just have to wait for the extended Blu-ray version to give it another watch and see what's been cut off from the movie.

Nerveless while I wait for the Blu-ray, i'll give this movie another watch tomorrow at the same place and see what I think of it again, but I'll probably just feel the same experience again from my first viewing.

My Rating 7.5/10

what WB has done is good but there is still a lot of improvement needed to be done for the sequel and DC solo movies which I hope they can get it right.

not gonna complain any other bad side of the movie but it was satisfying seeing my heroes together at last on the big screen and that's what I care about.

And, like I said, nothing is still perfect but it can be improve more on future movies. so, take it as a fun and learning experience and use that to built another stronger and improve foundation.

I think a 'Director's Cut' or an 'Extended Edition' would definitely be worth checking out if one skipped this flick.

...to fully realize Snyder's vision - - the film will be R-Rated, no holds barred kinda thing. tongue.gif Look at 'Watchmen'. It was excruciatingly realistic, though it split the fans.

We saw glimpses of this in BvS -that Batman warehouse fight scene, wow. That was just brutal. Loved it. Then the movie shifted tones and wandered aimlessly with the whole Doomsday thing. Before that, Trailer 2 of BvS completely ruined it (Batman/Supes working together... we know they will do so, but why reveal it in the trailer).

JL is yet another Snyder project that we didn't get to see his true vision, no thanks to WB, the reshoots, the unfortunate personal matter of his. Everything just culminated to a rather mediocre film. Even the best of reviews call it flawed. And stache-gate biggrin.gif 3 months to completely remove Supe's moustache from every shot... that is quite a remarkable feat.

JL had everything that screamed for a release 'delay'. They could have delayed it to next year March 2018 (similar to Bvs) while Aquaman remained Dec 2018, to provide much needed refinement but here it is.

OMG for real?? So stupid... doh.gif

They updated the poster to include Superman? I thought it was fan made...

I mean come on... not everyone has seen the movie (for those planning to) and even though Supe was rumored to back-- WB has just done it again, just like the BvS trailer showing Batman + Superman working together...

Aiyo...

This is a first I believe... a change in the movie poster AFTER movie has been released.

Finally watched it! laugh.gif

Quite flawed.... suddenly they all come together and fighting for a villain that suddenly pops up. biggrin.gif

The dialogues were cringey, the awkward pauses / looks, the facepalmy jokes (why suddenly Batman can crack jokes... lol)... I mean, it's just weird.

The worst enemy of JL? The CGI. I thought it would not be as bad as they say... but wow. The color grading (especially towards the end) was an eye-sore.

My fav moments definitely The Flash, and there were genuinely cool Batman fight sequences albeit very few. Also, Superman's return (for the final fight) was really cool. But he throwing a tantrum when he is first revived, lol-worthy.

Ben Affleck - - I really, really kesian this fellow. He doesn't look interested at all in every scene he was in.

My conclusion - - BvS is even better!

At best, this is like a 4/10.

Looks like the Joker we've been waiting for since Heath Leadger. Jared Leto was quite disappointing in potrayal and in story.
