From what i've heard there are cases of ghosting in third party VGA cable... that is what my friend told me .. then he switch to Ori .. no problem ... i'm guessing it's luck ..hahaha

Nope you cant

Xbox 360 uses a proprietary port for its output so you'll need to adhere their standards. Your best bet would be the ori xbox vga cable.

http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-de-49-en-70-190j.html

Only newer Pro sets and elites have hdmi port. Even then, you will either need a hdmi input lcd monitor or a hdmi cable with a hdmi to vga converter.

Alternatively, you can use a tv card/tv box(usb/pcmcia/etc). Some are up to 1080i now.

Cheers bro, hope that helps

HDMI to DVI is easily available
example:
user posted image
they are cheap cause HDMI and DVI are digital signals and do no require any conversion

anyway, if u have a vga only monitor, best bet is still the microsoft's vga cable. 2nd hand can fetch u around RM80, and the quality is very good. it can even go hi def resolutions

hi def HDMI and hi def vga or component doesnt differ much in quality, just maybe in the signal conversion because LCD TVs are digital components, and there might be signal lost from conversion from analogue (vga/component)

Hi, im using Samsung 32inch The spec here http://www.samsung.com/my/products/televis...=Specifications

My question is
1 Im planning to buy high end cable like Audioquest or Monster , the one i should buy is HDMI-HDMI right ? Because i see too many like HDMI-VGA , HDMI- DVI . Makes me confuse ..
2 Some people say just buy cheap one than expensive coz the quality is same. Is it true ?
3 As u can see from the spec i have 2 slot for HDMI , so can i use 1 slot for xbox and 1 more slot for DVD player ?
4 Which one better S-Video , HDMI or Composite ?

Sorry if asking noob question here. Thanks in advance

1. That depends on your console's output and tv's input. If your console got hdmi and tv also got hdmi, then go for it.

2. For normal HDMI cable, that is true. However, if you go as far as monster cable, then probably not. I dont see any point of monster cable when you have hdmi, let alone monster cable's hdmi. That's overkill dy sweat.gif sweat.gif

3.Yes

4. HDMI and DVI are the better ones because they do not require analouge to digital conversion.

Pssst... these are available in google. laugh.gif

He meant that the VGA port on his monitor is already used to connect his laptop. He only has a DVI port free tongue.gif
