QUOTE(Osphotic @ Apr 11 2008, 04:06 PM) hey thanks but I got the vga-vga cable only..so I just buy the hdmi to vga adapter or converter or whatsoever shouldn't be a problem right? Just get the original Microsoft VGA cable and you're done

HDMI to DVI is easily available example: they are cheap cause HDMI and DVI are digital signals and do no require any conversion anyway, if u have a vga only monitor, best bet is still the microsoft's vga cable. 2nd hand can fetch u around RM80, and the quality is very good. it can even go hi def resolutions hi def HDMI and hi def vga or component doesnt differ much in quality, just maybe in the signal conversion because LCD TVs are digital components, and there might be signal lost from conversion from analogue (vga/component)

QUOTE(pmsoo @ Apr 15 2008, 01:51 PM) EERrr.. i thought lappies have vga OUT and not vga IN? You'll need a tv card bro. He meant that the VGA port on his monitor is already used to connect his laptop. He only has a DVI port free
