I just sent my MacBook in to VR Technology 2 hours ago and they told me that my battery is not covered under ACPP. My battery health is just 25% (According to iStat Pro and CoconutBattery).
The lady said that ACPP will only cover the battery if the battery doesn't charge. My battery still charges but can only use for about 45 minutes at "full charge".
I think ACPP is worth it as it'll give you peace of mind even when your 1 year Apple Limited Warranty is up.
Anyway, my MacBook is with VR Tech now for, according to them, a motherboard change (because the Ethernet doesn't work), palm rest change (mine is the first generation MacBook that suffers from discolouration) and power adapter change (sometimes can charge, sometimes doesn't).
All these for RM689(ACPP price), though I have to fork out RM580 (exchange) or RM700 (new battery) for the battery.

I've been owning Macs since 1991. I would buy ACPP for laptops, probably won't for desktops. I have never bought ACPP at a retail store unless there was a huge discount. I usually buy used or through ebay.
Used?? can buy used ACPP? I thought once it's registered, it's tied to the registered Mac?This post has been edited by lokgotz: Feb 26 2008, 04:42 PM
