A Gibson Les Paul Studio is around RM6-8k. Second hand definitely cheaper, but since you don't want 2nd hand, better not.
The LP Standard? We're looking around 9k to around 14k depends on the condition.

Another option, if you don't mind the paintwork, is the Epiphone Zakk Wylde LP. It's the best sounding epi Les Paul (To me at least), has a decent weight to it, and also have EMGs (Passives, but it's so good, you can't tell the diff. I switched to actives because I'm a Zakk Wylde nut tongue.gif). It retails for around RM4k here.

Epi LP Custom is around 2.5k-3k range.

Gibson LP Custom........ if you need to ask, you can't afford it.

Yeah, the Epi Les Paul Custom sounds GREAT with EMG actives. But like I said, the bullseye design, not many people like it, so no worries. However, that being said, I still find the wood quality, weight and tone of the Zakk Wylde Custom better then the LP Custom.

FYI, a set of EMG 81/85 pickups would cost you around RM700. Plus about RM130 for installation and setup, it would come up to around 4.3k......

Again, there's no stock Epiphone Les Paul besides the Zakk Wylde LP Customs that comes with EMGs. You'll have to buy the EMGs separate and then send to a luthier to get it installed.

I sent my Zakk Wylde Les Paul to install Active EMGs at Guitar Store in Desa Hartamas. Excellent service (Charged me about RM50 per-pickup and an extra RM30 for re-setup as I changed the string gauge from .42-.10 to .60-.10), amazing clean job, and as a bonus, added in an extra battery clip as my Actives needs it's own separate battery to power everything.

I would suggest you trying out the Epi LP Custom AS IS without modding the pickups first. If it's powerful enough, stick with it. If you REALLY have itchy fingers, then the EMGs would be a good fit also.

I don't really like the Epi LP Custom because I feel it should have more weight to it (I like my LPs heavy as hell), which surprisingly the ZW LP has quite a bit, but according to Everdying, still not as heavy compared to even a Gibson LP Standard.
