Always shoot at eye level to have a better perspective.

Thank you for the comment, I'm so worry that my shot not even worth any comment ..

shooting at eye level .. ok got it ... I really need a longer lens to be able to shot such photo ..

those swan are really far away if using the kit lens.. just unable to focus to their eye level easily ....

anyway, i like those photo, especially #5 and #8. those swam's portrait just like human portrait. #5 looks cool arrogant. #8 just like lady's attitude.... anyway nice try and good luck,,,, coz most of the time, moving object is difficult to have a right shot such as find the right angle, timing, even the swam whether want to let u have a great shot . GOOD LUCK, biggrin.gif icon_rolleyes.gif thumbup.gif

Thanks for the suggestion .....

Yah, there's only few of it ..

@Xannava
I don't worry about getting dirty. I worry that I'd dropped into the lake only ..

I have weak knee due to sport injury ... but no worry I still work on it ..

Shooting at low level has nothing to do with the lens.

If I had missed this web site months ago, I'd have just been shooting travel quality photos.

heheh ... good tips ... thanks you very much .. really appreciate it ..

All those idea are good apart from one thing ... the location.

At that lake .. there's no way that one could stay on the same horizon level as those swans ...

the water is 30cm lower from the shore, so even if I lay on the ground I still couldn't get into eye level easily ..

it does need a telephoto lens to shot those animals since in general they are scared of human beings ....

I had to ask favor from my friend to feed them to get them close by the lake side .. .

I guess that's the challenge of photography as not every golden thumb rule could be exercised in different location..
