QUOTE(kianweic @ Apr 16 2008, 10:08 AM) I like the following in game phrase from Chaos: 1. The weak fight back. 2. Kill, kill, kill. 3. One which is as long as the space marine's one, can't remember. It's odd that Chaos basic infantry units seems to die a lot faster than Space Marines or Orks. Or is that just me. Cheers There is one i really like in Chaos: Blood for the Blood God,skulls for the Skulls Throne. There are tonnes of other quotes that i really like. Still the best quote i hear so far is DE's Scourage's voice:The earth does not deserve to touch my feet.

How about Chaos Sorcerer? "I know everything that you couldn't Possibly know!" I like the Sindri voice from 1st DoW much better than DC or SS voice. Snake like voice that almost pierce my heart I also like when Orks goto sport "Orks orks orks orks orks orks orks........"

Noise of the Xeno. The Chaos will stay away from this, you could shout your slogan and mess around with them, Primarch waba....
*look at the Necron* Poor Undead, cant even play with their noisy neighbours.

QUOTE(Ryto @ Apr 17 2008, 10:47 AM) How about Chaos Sorcerer? "I know everything that you couldn't Possibly know!" Huh, it is "i understand more than you can possibly know." Notice this phrase is a double insult, I "understand" as in in full comprehension then you can possibly "know" as in just knowing the surface. It is like saying the things I can fully comprehen is more than the things you know by the surface, so the whole phrase literally means "I am so much smarter than you, dumb @ss." Imperium never did pay me enough to get customes like these....

More previews on DoW2.It's on June's PCGUS.Go get it if you can. Some info from a guy in Relic news... QUOTE Alright, my mail man just delivered a fresh June 2008 issue of PC GAMER US with a space marine on the cover. Here are some of the tidbits (Press Spoiler button):
-The instant reinforcement system is gone, but they haven't mentioned what it has been replaced with, although the journalist mentioned drop pods.
-If your named squad leader dies, it will apparently "change the way the game is played."
-RPG-like wargear upgrades will affect the entire squad, not just the sergeant.
-Cover can be demolished with grenades, flanking manouevers, flamers, and melee units.
-Units will be very vulnerable in the open.
-Squads will "think" for themselves like in CoH
-Relic refused to comment on any other races.
Also in the issue is a Q&A with the general manager of the 40k mmo project....very interesting. There is also a nice section dedicated to the warhammer fantasy universe as well. QUOTE the pc gamer article describes three big changes the developers want to make in rts gaming.
1. eliminate tedious resource gathering and base building.
2. persistant armies
3. rpg like item gathing to keep the game interesting. Link: http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php...62&page=1&pp=15Seems interesting, though.

The Chaos Sorcerer pic is from Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.
I assume the item gathering stuff is more of a practical fluff for campaign missions.

I thought that's the job of Starcraft 2 hahaha
Anyway, I think it sounds something like Warcraft 3 though. Losing a hero does heavily impact the player and it does have some RPG lite in a RTS.
Critters in DOW2, now that is just wrong.....hahaha

Given Relic's track record in Homeworld series, Company of Heroes and Dawn of War 1 (with the exception of Impossible Creatures), I think DOW2 will not be a let down.
Also to some extent, with that preview post by Cheesenium it also sounds a bit similar to World in Conflict.
Hmmm....maybe we should just wait for a playable demo or something.
