Well any answer to that question is irrelevant to us though, or any advice you may want, since you don't play multiplayer or play with any of us.

Update: The Soulstorm patch has been undergoing testing on all language versions and digitally distributed versions of the game. We are now up to release candidate 3 for the patch. Bugs were found during testing that needed to be fixed and the patch is being rebuilt into the new release candidate. The latest bugs were generally isolated to the installation for the patch, which is the part of the patching process that has undergone the most change as we support the digitally distributed versions of the game.

What does this all mean? Not too much, I’m just trying to keep you all updated as to what’s going on. Our goal is still to ship the patch this week and we’re working on it.

Update: Soulstorm Patch

We wanted to post another update to keep Soulstorm fans informed of what's going on with the patch that we are working on. Here is the current situation:

We are making progress on the outstanding installation issues for the digitally distributed versions of Soulstorm. Currently there are five outstanding versions of the game that we are dealing with. We are hoping to have fixes for these versions of the game implemented by the end of the day today so that we can build a new patch tomorrow. The quality assurance team has verified our bug and balance fixes that are applied to the game itself, so that part of the patch has been finalized.

If the outstanding fixes are made today and a patch is built tomorrow, we would still require two to three days for the quality assurance team to test the patch and verify that it’s installing correctly on all versions of the game and there aren't any new bugs. Unfortunately this means that we won’t be ready before the weekend, so the patch will not be released this week.

We’d like to thank all of you for your continued patience as we climb these last hurdles to get the patch out.

Frost Chain sword will be like Dota..where the abbandon 1 whack will slow the unit down.. and every unit who whack that unit also whack faster.

where to download the DOW : SS update patch? I try to google it but not sure which one to download. Is Patch v1.41 is the latest patch?

By the way, Is all the races is playable if i buy DOW : SS game alone?

Just posted a brief update on the patch on Relic.com...here it is again:

We have some progress to report on the Soulstorm Patch. We have just one remaining bug with the patch and we are waiting on some information to arrive today so we can fix it. If the information arrives we’ll put in a fix, if it doesn’t, it's not a major issue that we'll hold up the patch for at this point. We’ll move ahead with the full quality assurance test pass that is required to release the patch. Testing will take about three days, and barring the discovery of any new bugs, the patch will then be ready to ship.

Our thanks to the Soulstorm community for bearing with us as we work through these bugs and get this patch out the door.

The only thing related to "Frost Blade" I know in the WH 40K fluff are some special chainsaw used by the Space Wolves. They replaced the normal steel "fangs" of the chainsaw by Krakens teeth (Kraken being some huge sea monsters common in Fenris seas)

But it does not look like frost per se. I have not watched the video, got too many pages for me to go back with few different videos so I am not sure WHICH video you guys are referring to.

Nothing much there, I can do a quick translations if you guys want but they dun say much, some basic gameplay stuff we all know, he says the animation are quite nice etc.

I guess you guys are talking about the 2nd sergent in the first video right? At one moment the presenter put some "thing" in one equipment slot and suddenly the blade has a kind of light blue halo around it? Could be just some special abilities or force field, not sure it's really some "frost" thinggy, could be the Space Wolves frostblade also.

The presenter dun say anything about "frost" at that moment though, he is just talking about how you can customize the Sergent with equipments (like in the previous commanders in DoW 1) and stuff like Frag grenades etc for them and the squad they command

Could be just the 3D rendering of a normal power sword actually, they are supposed to have some light-blue (for Imperial troops) energy field around it. It should look more like crackling lightning than this "halo" but you never know.

Guess we will know when we get the game, could be a special weapon, could be a normal power sword. Does not really matter in the overall picture
