some of my frens are nw interested in this game since the campaign dun involve much building/ standard RTS thingy...

Weird statements, so I guess your friends have never bother to play those old school RTS like C&C, KKND, CoH etc since they are all with base buidlings. The only RTS games that I know dont involve buildings are Sacrifice, Black & White series, etc.

I really LOL hard at this bloody stupid statement, "dun involve much building/ standard RTS thingy..."

What's is standard RTS thingy ?? And is DOW2 still considered a RTS if it's without "RTS thingy" or am I in a NFS thread now ??


I'm curious of what your friends is expecting from DOW2 that is without the standard RTS thingy ?? 10 players controlling 1 commander each with 5 a side trying to kill off each others Relic ??

Aww chaos lord cool down cool down. I think he means that his friends just like to go into the battle without having units pumped out by building. He should recomend his friends to play the total war, sudden strike series then. Those games do not involve base building.

Some people just dislike base building for some unknown reason.

DoW2 does seem a lot like that map now.As far as i know,there isnt much base building now,except gens,reinforcement point or turrets.Tier up is just a press of button in HQ.

6 players,controlling 1 commander each with 3 on each side,supported by a small army,trying to destroy all their enemies HQ or control all the victory point.Sounds similar too.

wut's wit the hate...
they jz dun like to tech up, resource gathering etc but downright micro-ing their units (CoH etc)...
nt every1 is a dotard
some of them dun even like RTS...

and notice its standard RTS,
DoW brings some new concept into the RTS unlike the normal 'standard'...
aren't u getting a little too anal to it...

ps: i'm talking about campaign...

Sacrifice, Black & White series does have some building, tho with a twist, DoW2 can be more hectic since your buildings are on the front line rather than in base.

I'm always cool, not easy to deal with Slaanesh without a cool mind. I'm just being honest, which alot ppl, especially those who serve the false emperor, lack of Anyhow, Total War series is a good suggestion who like pure strategy RTS.

Yea yea yea, controlling a few guys venturing deep into the planet and serve the objectives set by the game, ignore the production buildings and just bash all of your way to the destination area... Bah... this sounds like a twisted of some familiar mod running wild. Oh wait, that what everyone like it now, even Relic bow succumb to the will of the greater population ??

i hate dota as well but if that's wut needed to make the game interesting and fresh, why not?
after all the lore of the warhammer universe is still there...
i'll be playing the game for the lore (orks) with standard rts elements or not...
it is still a RTS but innovated in its own ways...

and there are sitll buildings over at the multiplayer section anyways...
from wut i've read, there is sitll minor construction of buildings etc in DoW2...
even in DoW1, there is nt much construction of structures in the campaign compared to so many other generic RTS out there...

if u want pure standard RTS, go play supreme commander...
its engaging in a really large scale...

The wallpaper looks nice but that row of icons below it just spoil the whole thing.

u can crop it out and make it widescreen...
hope they add in goblins for the orks soon jz like in WAR...
