Regarding dawn of war series I like Dark crusade the best & each races have a different personality & gameplay :
Space marine : Its the one of the easier faction to jump into since it requires little micro-management. It has tremenduous firepower in its marines
but lack powerful melee unit.
Chaos Space marine : Its almost similar but it has heavier weaponry but lack the ranged unit. I like their leader (daemon prince) which can easily
becomes the most powerful boss
Eldars : They rely on speed & stealth so only works for very "patient gamer". IF you play turtle or all out aggresive definitely "hangus". Because
each unit have a special task, like anti-air, heavy infantry therefore you must play them together to make it "tick". Definitely one of the
hardest to manage (many micro-managing)
Imperial Guards : I don't know about other but i hate their "look" maybe because they represent earth soldiers the most or it apparent weak units.
Gamers tend to avoid using this faction because I.G will only becomes powerful in the later stage (their tanks). Their infantry
was near to useless compared to space marines.
Orkz : This the most powerful faction (check the winning status of orkz user). They required to build more waagh to support their forces & believe me
if you have the resources you can push their size to fill out entire screen. Their prime weapon is their superb infantry + their boss (the
craziest I ever seen)
Tau : They divided everything into two. peace or war faction. Melee or ranged unit caste....... They have the most powerful ranged units in the game
& one of the best in Turte tactic. However they also have melee unit (kroot) to support but if you never use them together chances are
you will lose very fast. No wonder few play this faction at multiplayer.
My favourite & easiest faction, you guess it the Necrons :
I hate their tanks but their infantry units are so powerful & very hard to kill (considered some are free). Basically necrons are very suitable for those
players that like to strike quickly as Necrons are already very powerful in early stage & doesn't need requisition point. I have this crazy tactic everytime i play necrons. Use their boss (equipped with the ressurection skill), sent all your troops attack your enemy base w/o the boss.
It would be better if all of them die. Quickly rebuilt large 2nd army & attack again with the boss. Put him in the center in the base and press ressurect
Now you have doubled the army with 0 cost. I won 8 / 10 games this way using the necrons.
However few people hate this faction by finding it to easy to play.
I exclude soulstorm bcos they are not developed by Relic but Ironlore (now bankrupt). Try imagine obsidian taking over their over Bioware over games like KOTOR & neverwinter nights series.
Oh ?? I noob... please show me how to play Necron. I IG player and ya, IG very weak because I play all out attacks and made my soldiers veli fast die ?? Can show me a trick or two ??Space marine : Its the one of the easier faction to jump into since it requires little micro-management. It has tremenduous firepower in its marines
