QUOTE(mizer @ Aug 24 2009, 10:44 PM) hmm sadly it's not the same. i've asked ppl in that thread and shall see how. thanks btw oh btw, can i connect my p1 modem to a router and output it to my pc ? from the screenies that you attached in that thread, it is still a router. a normal modem dont have those port forwarding, firewall etc. you can chain as many routers as you like, but be prepared to be NAT-ed recursively. it is best to keep the number of routers to a minimum in a setup. that's why i suggested a network switch.

basically network switch is config-free. you will only have to set your p1 modem/router.

QUOTE(ps3roxor @ Nov 9 2009, 09:15 AM) Hi guys, I need a All-In-One (Modem + Router + Wireless) solution that can give me Nat Type 1 or 2. Do post your equipment configuration (as in port forwrd, UPnP etc) as well. Currently using Streamyx 1MB, Aztech 605E (older version) + Netgear Wireless Router setup, getting NAT3. Direct connection to 605E only gives me NAT2. direct connection to 605e in router mode will still get you nat2 ftp://ftp.aztech.com/support/malaysia/ADS...v.1.0%20Jan.pdfconvert the aztech into brigde(modem) mode, and set the netgear to dial to pppoe.

QUOTE(vdvaart @ Dec 6 2009, 05:45 PM) how do i get connected to PSN with streamyx? just simply plug in the LAN wire to the PS3? i tried that but cant seem to work. is there any setting/ configuration that i need to change with my modem router? i have a Riger DB102, the one that they give in the box. btw im not automatically connected to the internet (how do i put this into words) i need to log on to windows, click on streamyx and dial to get connected, as i dont know how to set the the router to automatically connects me without having to manually dial every time i log on. i tried looking or solutions here before i posted this topic but to no avail. thank you for your time. the modem is curently in bridge mode. go to ps3, and find pppoe in the options, put your usernames (xxx@streamyx, password)

QUOTE(vdvaart @ Dec 6 2009, 08:21 PM) tried and succeed. thanks a lot. another question: so my modem is set on bridge mode, that is why i need to put in the streamyx username, no? so how do i need to do so that i don't need to dial it everytime? http://www.riger.com.my/DB102.htmldownload the pdf, follow page 11-12. get a network switch if you are on budget and you can use pc & ps3 to online simultaneously. QUOTE(vdvaart @ Dec 6 2009, 10:39 PM) i tried but ican't seem to work. perhaps i need to change any other things? among other things, sometimes i can't even get into my router page. sometimes i can, sometimes not. the smart config usually covers all. other than that i afraid i cant help much.

recently the holy grail for fixing psn connection is by changing the mtu into 1486, both in ps3 and in the modem settings

can always get nat2 with tmnet modem, unless you are under double nat (2 routers) and/or not properly configured
