If i remember correctly, Xbox 360 is being sold at Courts. But maybe that offer is gone already. Because if not mistaken also, they have installment plans for it.

What I did once, I bought something using CC, then called the bank, ask them to convert the purchase I just made.

They did that immediately, 0% interest free for 12 months, but there's 3% one time service charge, that's it.

So if the purchase is RM1000, the monthly installment is (1000 + 30) / 12 = RM85.83

Don't know about other CC, but Public Bank can, and I think also Citibank. wink.gif

If the shop already provides bank CC installment like GH, there's no 3% charge though. Better go there instead.

You could also purchase using your current credit card. Then apply for a new credit card at a different bank and do a 0% balance transfer.

I can onli find PB with 0% balance transfer. but still need to pay 1.5%,3% @ 6 % upfront charge (depends on balance) from total transfer value. The transferred balance then can settle using 0% installment. Can chose 6,12 & 24 months.

Good deal i think nod.gif

All it means is that instead of your credit card charging you RM 1000 in one lump sum, you spread that amount over a period of 6 to 24 months (depending on the value of the product). For example I paid RM 2399 for my old TV over a period of 12 months and did not get charged additional interest which means I paid exactly what the price was, no more.

hah? first time ? anyway, a noted for any installment purchasing for you guys out there.

remember to pay the monthly instsallment payment.

do not pay the "minimum" payment of the credit

cause if you do that, confirm the bank will charges "interest" in it.

think should be the same.

any payment is more then RM 1000 then you choose either 6/12 months

6 months if not mistaken only appicable from RM 500 - RM 1000 range.

Wow, if that's the case, i can get my Wii much much sooner.

But, would the installment plan really require a CC or sumthing? I mean i prefer to pay with just cash monthly.

I always thought 0% interest installment plan is not really as what its name implies. Credit card companies are not stupid, they'll charge their merchants the interests if buyers opt for the plan. So it's either the merchants transfer the cost to the buyers, or the merchants earn less.

DjiNn, will there be any difference in price if I pay by real cash as compared to credit card (0% interest installment)? Will you give me more discount if I pay by cash?

If you all visit any big electrical stores, which often offer 0% interest installment plan, you'll see, say for a Plasma Tv, the price you'll need to pay in a lump sum or the monthly payment if you go by installment. Either way the amount you pay will be the same. The retail price is already marked up by x%, which is enough to cover the interest amount banks will charge them. So normally they won't give you discount if you pay by installment.

Bro,the price may be marked up. But there are some merchants that really wanna help customer and they maintain the price to be same with cash. e.g DjiNn thumbup.gif Some CC company also offer you to convert your normal purchase to 0% installment. I've tried with aeon cc and no extra charge at all. Just need one phone call.

But I still think CASH IS THE BEST WAY icon_idea.gif
