Does anybody join or follow the MNS KL or PJ branch interest group?

Are they still active in stargazing and deep sky activities?

To all who would like to buy telescope, u can search in the internet on how to select a telescope.
Never ever buy a toy scope from any departmental stall like Giant, Jusco or Carefour, u will loose ur interest in stargazing straight away if u see thru those toy scope.
Telescope is indeed expensive, ranging from RM1000 (minimum) and above.
However, someone who really want to enjoy stargazing but not ready to invest in telescope should consider a binocular.
A 7x50 binocular can give u a good view of the night sky even the craters of moon, and the price is less than RM300.
Whoever would like to buy a telescope can PM me.

lol....i agree 100% about toy scope from departmental store....big no no for toy'r'us also.

Good optics dont come cheap.

No need 1000 plus. Can sort for second hand telescope. 4" reflector with standard eye pieces can be bought at half that price. I got mine around that price.

skykids244, wat kind of telescope are you selling?

Well, entry level telescope shall cost at least RM400 and above.
For binocular, shall cost at least near RM200 and above (recommende 10x50 at least)
The price very much depend on the optical properties and also the brand.

This hobby does requires some cash to burn. I found an online store selling quite cheap & reasonable telescopes. Maybe from here, enthusiast can slowly pick up on the hobby?
