QUOTE(mizivincible @ Feb 24 2008, 03:42 AM) Is it true that in XP super pi runs 1 sec faster than vista ? How if I turn off all the startup load ? Still the same ? Last time forgot to try pulak. If 1 sec then makes alot of difference wooo... try running it in safe mode

QUOTE(cracksys @ Feb 24 2008, 10:14 AM) thanks bro -pWs- .. it feels great to be in there Added on February 24, 2008, 10:16 am@digswell as my proc hit the wall edi ... i wonder what if i enable e&q .. does it downclock my proc to stock when i'm gaming or it increase it to 2.92ghz ?? I dont think AMD C n Q will work properly with your overclocked proc as you have raised the voltages, while C n Q operates with stock voltages. Use crystal cpu ID. With it you can set the proc to operate at lowest possible voltage n multiplier at idle to save on electricity and heat and set it to your required oc levels for gaming and other stuff. It works to adjust the settings automatically just like C n Q

Where?? x nampak pun EDIT: owner PM-ed ady. Hope its my lucky day finally @cracksys I tink you have to loosen that timing thingy when going for higher clockspeed, the 1 thats like 75ns, 128ns etc etc. This post has been edited by joe_star: Feb 25 2008, 09:05 PM

ram timing yes but from what i noticed that particular setting(refresh recycyle time) also epends on clockspeed. I have to loosen mine when i go beyond 2.7ghz to even just boot!

Could be your proc at its max ady. 5000+ BE usually hit their limit around 3.2-3.4ghz if im not mistaken . Also try adding memory voltage a lil. And AFAIK using high FSB+low multi doesnt really improve performance for AMD systems, might as well go for low FSB+high multi to prevent stress on your mobo etc This post has been edited by joe_star: Feb 26 2008, 06:15 AM

You guys having typical vdroop la. I have the same prob. My proc goes from 1.47v at idle(no cores loaded) to 1.45v when 1 core is loaded(like running superpi) to 1.44v when both cores are loaded(orthos). Its smth to do with the mobo, a design flow or smth.

QUOTE(mizivincible @ Mar 2 2008, 02:50 PM) Sorry sorry, my bad ! How could it be 1.8v ! Duhh But I think it should be around 1.2v right ? 1.18v is because of the voltage drop of the mobo. Now at college running 3.2ghz at 1.32v. Later after grad staying at own place have to run stock vcore for saving purpose So, stock vcore for 3800 F3 ? Most 65W X2's stock voltage is around 1.25V, but there is an exception as some are also 1.35v. Try leaving the voltage control in bios at stock and see what you get in cpu-z etc.

QUOTE(noobianz @ Mar 6 2008, 02:02 AM) guys, need help here here is my problem...in bios,i set my memory timing to 4-4-4-15-23...but when i login to windows n launch cpu-z,it shows that my memory timing is 4-4-4-18-26....i've tried to enable and disable all those function in bios...but the same problem occur, the only way for me to get 4-4-4-15-23 timing is through memset Reflashed your bios? I had a similar problem before but it affected my multiplier(the changes wouldnt set). QUOTE(AMDAthlon @ Mar 6 2008, 02:03 AM) I pening already lor..Somehow,my BIOS CANNOT ACCEPT 2T???What the heck is happening to my mobo? When i set it to 2T it cannot boot.Stuck at Verifying DMI pool data. What has caused it?(still no picture as 2T are unsettable). But when set to Auto/1T it boot and works fine.. I would recommend using bios 0803. Its pretty old but its good enough to reach HTT345(on my board). And dont be scared of increasing chipset voltage. This mobo likes it. Ive been running mine on 1.3v with the stock cooler for the past 8 months ald.

QUOTE(cracksys @ Mar 6 2008, 12:43 PM) guys ... i'm sweating after woke up this morning ... [attachmentid=411568] WHAT !! is this really shown what happen while i was sleeping ?? i was prime-ing at that moment ... and when i woke up, my windows hang odi The hang was caused by instability, but I would advice you not to take the everest log info that seriously. Its got bugs I guess. I've seen my core speed go up to 9Ghz in some log entires. Wooohooo......World Record for me

Try using prime95 multithreaded or occt as alternatives. I had similar issues with orthos but the other apps worked fine.
