Wah, Bro Arj betul-betul Elite like mpyw, both of you won't settle for anything less than a CHT-12R. I got no choice lah, limited budget so I settled for CHT-10R but no regrets, I love the bass, deep and firm. I only use a quarter of the volume of the sub, it's already loud enough for me. It's a good choice for your Yamaha amp. rclxms.gif

How much is the Velodyne? Where can demo? I saw the spec for 8 inch one even better than my 10 inch yammy sub. Kind of tempting.

Cool. That's easy enuf. They send my PSB to my door step, hook them up and even make sure the speakers are sitting level relative to the floor. Talk about good customer service notworthy.gif

Honestly, CHT-10R is more than good enough, dun like the size of the woofer fool you, the bass if even stronger than B&W's PV1 costing around RM6K. Of course, if you have extra budget and a big hall, you can consider CHT-12R.

Honestly, Yamaha's sub is no match for Velodyne, I owned two Yamaha subs before, whether it's a 10 incher or 12 incher, a normal Velodyne sub can already satay them liao.

I think I might have to consider getting the CHT-10R instead. My setup is in my bedroom of around 350sf only and the movie area is about a quarter of that only hmm.gif

I read review Velodyne subs perform very good with movie but mediocre with music. The subs is all about power but not finesse. Owners got any comment?

Wharfy subs cheaper but don't know whether as good as Velo or not.
