QUOTE(mpyw @ Mar 5 2008, 05:32 PM) kena poison...GOOD!! PCM sound the best ... those dts-ma or DolbyTrueHD is only lossless, PCM is the uncompress sound... err.. I tot all should be the same - uncompressed from the master track, except DTS or dolby put in their own style of mixing levels, equalization and such

QUOTE(mpyw @ Mar 6 2008, 01:43 PM) end result should be same lar but..after compress then decode again...would there be any detail loss after all these processes?? lossless compression la...where got loss?

QUOTE(sham73 @ Mar 6 2008, 02:13 PM) thats also take into a count aaa.. sure la, lossless compression able to reconstruct the original signal without throwing away any bits mah... like ZIP file.

QUOTE(megatron007 @ Mar 6 2008, 04:51 PM) but zip process got bit loss or not? of coz no loss la (LOSSLESS MAH!!)... for example 00000000000010can be represented by 0x12+1+0 which is shorter space but you still be able to make back the original signal. (no loss)

yeah I think it's pass thro video switching, and not video processing (which is modifying your 24fps signal)..

QUOTE(lapaq @ Mar 7 2008, 10:12 PM) Then means the TV can still accept my PS3 24fps signal?...so if my PS3 can decode all tracks to LPCM..then the 661 can always accept it...so no need for 663 laa right? true except PS3 cant decode and send out the DTS-MA signal yet..

QUOTE(megatron007 @ Mar 10 2008, 11:26 PM) they can do the DTS MA signal via PCM ma that's not DTS-MA that's DTS-MA (CORE at 1.5mbps) i.e. not the full MA, just partial MA.

QUOTE(DigitalKL @ Mar 13 2008, 10:59 PM) actually they are sold separately in the US and Canada. I think here too should be no problem. Go to Asia Sound in Amcorp mall to audition have to Lug your AV amp there or not when audition, after all, different brand amps have different outcomes..

QUOTE(DigitalKL @ Apr 17 2008, 02:27 PM) i think the rx-v1800 is out for me too Output at clipping (1 kHz into 8/4 ohms) 1 channel driven: 158/281 W (22/24.5 dBW)* 5 channels driven (8 ohms): 103 W (20.1 dBW) 7 channels driven (8 ohms): 55 W (17.4 dBW)Distortion at 1 watt (THD+N, 1 kHz) 8/4 ohms: 0.02/0.03% Noise level (A-wtd): -73.4 dB Excess noise (with sine tone) 16-bit (EN16): 0.9 dB Frequency response: 20 Hz to 20 kHz +0, -0.2 dB eh... I tot someone here said yammy always rate their power at all channels driven? meaning it should be more like 90-100W min? looks like they are also following the trend now...

QUOTE(DigitalKL @ Apr 17 2008, 02:44 PM) I think sound and vision one is real world power, they test on their test bench equipment wor.. maybe it's like Jap manufacturer claim engine is 200BHP but in real world dyno test...it's like 130HP at the wheels..

QUOTE(aiman04 @ Apr 17 2008, 02:56 PM) All receivers specs are factory rated one, not real world. No receivers will achieve what they say on their own manual.. Whatever it is, my 1800 is powerful enough at -13dB. I only go up to -7dB when I go crazy release tension mode. And that even after -6 level trim! that's why good to get real world test results.. even projectors with ANSI lumens, some with 700-900lm after calibration will give better results than those 2000lm light cannons... Added on April 17, 2008, 3:00 pmQUOTE(apisgogo @ Apr 17 2008, 02:58 PM) uiyo, -13dB? quite loud lah! my 661 at -16dB is very very loud already.. maybe different settings.. remember that your amp doesn't "see" what your speakers are doing...so, diff speakers with diff sensitivity at different frequency will be doing different things.... QUOTE(Reix @ Apr 17 2008, 05:21 PM) It is 7.2, there are 2 input jacks for Subwoofer 1 & 2. You will get deeper bass sound if you use both. izzit? I tot deeper bass is dependent on the type of sub woofer?... not every sub can go 16-18Hz with even if you tambah 5 budget sub units to the sound system.. . while for some using just one REL can already settle that deep bass
