Physical Connections.
- Temporarily, I am using the standard RCA cables for sound from my normal DVD player and also the Astro decoder to the yammy amp, L / R. (until I get my PS3 soon I hope).
V663 Settings.
I read through roughly most of the manual, and whilst testing on some DVDs, I realised that from where I was seated (all speakers are pointedd in my direction, middle of couch), I can hear more sound that the rear speakers (the effects), and clear conversations from the centre. My T1 does not seem to contribute much.
So I have a few noob questions and I am hoping you guys can have an opinion on.
1. How do I get more bass without opting for a sub yet? Do I have to tweak the equalisers for more bass on the 663? If yes, which frequency level?
2. Is it my wiring that is wrong? From the T1 to the 663? Black = Positive and Red = Negative right?
3. What is a good sub to compliment my speakers and what are the price ranges so I can go audition them? (how do you audition subs anyway?)
4. Would it improve if I used those gold plated RCA audio cables from my DVD player to the 663?
U need to use optical / coaxial to enjoy digital surr (DTS/DD). RCA will only give you analog sound.
1. You simply cant. The .1 in 5.1 or 7.1 denotes the subwoofer. It is an integral part of the system. Unless you have full range speakers.
2. Black - neg; Red - pos
3. Try MS309 or WHarfy SW150.
4. It wont as you are not using digital connection.
