Bro, some of the speakers price will be increased w.e.f. from 01.07.08. Then, dont expect cables to be cheap (on big discount) too. Maybe a bit of discount for current LCD TV and plasma tvs. New gen AVRs will be expensive as usual with minimal discount Projectors as usual esp Panny, which we see on newspaper. My take is those obsolete stuffs will be on offer with limited units as usual.

Velodyne CHT-R series is made primarily for movie. SW250 is with music in mind. However, it couldnt keep up with the sheer room shaking power of CHT-10R in movie.

Then again, SW250 is a nice looking sub while CHT is a bit dull looking. Both with remote for convenience.

by all means, go for 863. Most of the Pioneer AVR's AQ seems bright to me and it lacks the solid authority of Yammy.

Upconvert is that the AVR will convert lower tier signal to the higher tier.

e.g. S-video upconvert to Component or HDMI.

Here, the signal remain at its native form.

Upscale is when the AVR the resolution from an input source (say 480p)to higher resolution

Tilt the center speakers upward to ain at your listening position. This way, the dialogue will sound better. Mine is tilted even it is on speaker stand.

Then, don't install the center too high up. Tilt it downward.
