Between G3 and G4. I know G4 is faster but what if between G3 900MHz and G4 867MHz. Is G4 still faster? hmm.gif

well i no knowledge about IBM PPC processor. Logically speaking, of cos G4 will pwn G3. It is not just about the speed, but it's about the structure or architecture of the processor. And Like Intel Processor, P4 alone don't support SSE3, whereas C2D support SSE3. This technology (SSE3) can boost the overall performance.

Well, i vote for G4. Hope got more "pro" ppl can explain here

I believe the G4 will be faster for SSE or SIMD
type of processing as it has Altivec.

Could be that the G3 will be faster for certain
simple operations.

logically G4 will faster than G3 based on pentium and core duo theory
