Installing firefox 3 beta will not upgrade firefox 2.
You can use both at the same time.
It is a standalone installation.

does it crash often? ever since 2.0.0.12 i suffer alot of crashes

most of the time firefox crashs is cause by extensions/plugins iirc.

what website casue the crash?
just try safemode to troubleshooting the problem.

My firefox does hangs(showing busy icon) when suddenly difficult to get a response from a web site then later it crashes.

i can't be sure as there were several tabs. even after i use the restore session it will still lag awhile and the not responding message shows before it can resume
