It'll be years before Sony would consider killing its portable machine. Remember that Sony PSP is intended to grab the market in the handheld market previously reigned by Nintendo.

If Sony were to create a handphone that has gaming capability of a PSP, it would not only kill the product, but also the market for UMD disks which includes game developers.

Well, thats my opinion anyway.
