well you have to set up POP on your phone first. i dont have my phone nex to me so ill put in steps later. but basically its just menu messages more and email accounts i think. but once you set that up. you will be able to recieve mail on sheduled times. and also send out mail from that part of your messages.

so yeah. as felixx said.

menu -->> settings -->> messaging -->> email accounts -->> more -->> new account

then you fill in all the details.

for gmail. the settings are

connection type: POP3
incoming server address: pop.gmail.com
outgoing server address: smtp.gmail.com make sure 'use SMTP authentication' is ticked, and so is 'use inbox login details'

i recommend Download restrictions set to :just headers.

hope this helps.... yahoo cannot POP3 i think . from what i remember it is only for paying yahoo members

hey you all still having wifi problems? i had that issue here. it says connected but the tiang talipon not light up . i had to make a new account.

in wifi. you click more. then new account. type in ssid. starbucks. and account name i put starbucks. and connected. seemed to work. but i tried it again somewhere else it didnt work. so you can try this.

for this i dunno. wifi is so delicate lah. even that thing i did only worked with the starbucks here. (by the way im in beijing right now) in kl no problems with any wifi. so this is new to me. will look more into it.

hey its dangerous wat. last time this guys alarm went off during and exam in uni. (in aussie it is straight fail if you get a call) even though his phone is off. the guy almost failed him. luckily he could explain everything slowly hahahah.

yeah when you enable wifi it really kills the battery.

3g is not so bad. but you should definately turn off the wifi.

i set my brightness to around 75-80% lasts a long time

i dont think that they will completely stop it. i think it might slow down a bit. but i dont think it will be killed off.

if it really is opensource then there is a possibility itll end up being better than windows mobile. hahahah. at least thats what im hoping

yeah. from people that i talked to they seem to like UIQ as well. i used to use winmobile. it was quite cool. except it did seem difficult to find things. but i was using an O2 model. so they had changed the interface from the ori winmobile. so dunno.

i personally like the uiq better. except. winmobile had this search feature where its like T9 dictionary. but to search for contacts. that was really cool.

can we do this on UIQ?

did you try back up using the SEUS? i think you can also back up through the phone to the memory stick. not sure how. but im sure there is alawys a way! jhahahahah

hey have any of you used the gps thing with this phone. i think its like a add on headset thing and software. was thinking of investing in this but im scared its just a big piece of crap.
