GMM need internet to work. When you are connected to internet, goto http://www.google.com/gmm.

Remember GMM need internet to work. it won't "talk to you" turn by turn but you can specify the start and end destination and GM will plot the route for you. I am not sure how well it work in MY but in SG its pretty useful.

I install Handyday apps the other day to try out. decide not to use it anymore. I uninstall the apps. However, everytime i back up, after the re-boot handy day will start the installation. I need to cancel the installation.

how to use wifi?
tap on the little-3angle-tat-points-down on the top left edge of the screen. Select Connections - Wireless LAN. At eh WLAN screen, goto More - Enable WLAN. Then tap on Scan. your Gee will scan for available network. those with a lock are secured network. Select the network you want to connect. You may have to enter the SSID key if its a secured network.

how to check battery life?
on the top right corner, you see the battery icon. just tap on it.

Gee is a touchscreen phone. you see anything, just touch it. some kinda menu will probably come out. However, tapping on girl picture will not guarantee anything come out OK...!!!

back-up and run the update service. go back a few page and there is instruction how to do this.

i dun think you need to send the warranty card. I got an ori oso and i ask the shop sud i and i was told they will settle for me. What you can do is call up SE and give them your serial number. I did that with my K500 and they confirm its ori set. or you can e-mail their support. they reply pretty fast but i am not sur eif they entertain ori/ap checking.

yes my PC Suite can see both phone and card content. is your card working OK?

someone in Esato posted how to change the icon. Its not reali easy for a non-techie like me. Its not a straight forward replace. you need to hack the phone and mod some file.

I tried with different theme but those icons remain the same. You can switch the standby application to "Business" and there you can change some of the icon but once you go into the main menu, its back to the old icon again. I am pretty disappointed with the interface about this. Even my old W850i got cooler theme that comes with funky icons.

i got a wireless stereo BT headset and pairing is a breeze. I juz pair once and subsequently i juz switch on BT on both device and its auto pair. Sound got transfer auto but occasionally i nid to transfer manually. No issue.

One thing you may wanna check is if the HBH-PV708 support music streaming. I suspect not all BT support music streaming.

all those months me using my Gee i have never had this problem but thanks for bringing this up. I'l try to see what actually show up on the screen when i answer phone. never really paid any attention to the screen when talking.

Gee is targeted at business user, so SE may b thinking the users r more concern biz application rather den funky icon. it wont hurt la if can change icon mah... dunno wat is SE thinking la.

please do an update of your phone software. This will probably help clear up some fault with your phone.

take out batt oni la... someone said its to make sure the memory is 100% kosong.

when using internet, check also which connection your are using. It happen to me once. while i am connected to Wifi, i am not getting to internet. then i realise the default connection used is the GPRS. I switch and its OK then.

i actually think that UIQ par tis the weakess link. the rest make Gee looks good.

i just run my update service from time to time.

i have tat problem with my W850i and now my G900 i am also facing the same problem. I can connect using the file transfer mode but phone mode just don't work. I am pretty tired with all this niggling problem with SE software.

are you charging with USB? You should avoid charging with USB. The batt charge won't last long as USB is not strong/powerful (wateva) to charge the batt. Use the power adapter.

If you use the power adapter and half day goes 20% then you should get your batt checked out.
