Can anyone recommend a good orthodontist in Penang Island? I need to put braces for my teeth.

Does orthodontist in Penang provide Damon or Invisalign? I don't want to extract any of my teeth, and so i heard these two technology does not require teeth extraction. Can anyone confirm? If yes, how reliable or workable is it compare to conventional braces?

I am not sure about whether Pg has Invisalign as it's relatively new in Malaysia.

There are few Invisalign providers in KL. Msg me if you need more information.

But Invisalign is really expensive by Malaysia standards but still cheapest in SEA region after all those conversion rate.

I surprised that Invisalign in Malaysia is even cheaper than Bangkok, which is renowned for cost-effective and excellent workmanship for its dental work.

Cheapest Invisalign is RM12k onwards to RM25k. I dont suggest you go for the RM25k because that particular center is renowned for high-end client.

Msg me if you need more information.

Try Dr Seet Ai Ling, she uses Damon though but can opt for inspire ice which i think is clear brackets.

Invisalign is only indicated for certain Orthodontic problems, which means it can only work for certain cases that aren't that severe. It is NOT true that using Invisalign means no extracted teeth, it depends on how crowded your teeth are.

As for Pg Dental doing braces, their Dentist there that does braces is not a proper Orthodontist. I suggest anyone going to Pg Dental for braces ask the Dentist there if he has a Masters Degree in Orthodontics. The answer is NO. He has a 'certificate', which means he went to a few weekend classes to learn how to do braces. NO exam, NO practice on real patients. If you go to any general dentist for Orthodontic care, you are taking your chances. Ask if they are an 'Orthodontist' and do they have a Masters Degree.

A true Orthodontist has a masters degree (which takes 3 extra years at a University). A few doors down from Pg Dental is Prestige Orthodontic (Braces) Clinic. Dr. Chay is a proper Orthodontist, and does self-ligating (Damon) braces and ceramic brackets (invisible braces). You can find Prestige Orthodontics here:
