what he meant by JB/Jazz combo is JB in the bridge position and Jazz in the neck position. same goes for EMG81/85 combo(81 in the bridge, 85 in the neck)

on a side note, the new alexi signature models finally have Blackouts in them!

for the pickups, keep in mind that EMG81/85 is an active combo. meaning you have to power it with a 9v battery and unplug your guitar to prevent it from draining your battery

i think the tubescreamer is a more popular overdrive compared to the bad monkey

just play kissing the shadows cuz u gonna improved in no time!!!!!!111 trust me!

but its true that playing metal will improve your skill, but dont make too big of a leap

you should be able to find 2nd hand jb/jazz pickups.. very common
i think this is gapster's department

if you want clean tone, just switch it over to the clean channel!
look for a button that says channel select or something along those lines.
if you get an overdrive/distortion, you can switch it to clean channel because having it on distortion channel will make it really noisy

2nd hand should be about rm230-250 each
