yo~ I'm also same situation like you. noob in ht. receiver already have an idea in my mind. but now is the speakers. need to experience it myself that I did before. but cannot always go to showroom testing frequently, lazy to drive Now in my list :

sorry for noob questions:
what I see mostly ppl using whardedale, jamo, mordaunt. (not talking about superb high end like ProAc, etc.. ) how bout jbl and yamaha speakers? inactive why?
I looking for compact floorstanding front speakers, rear speakers(usualy will mount on top), center speaker and sub.
my budget for speakers only around less than rm 2k. any recommendations ? ( i know that experience it myself will be the best but before go I would like to prepare myself wat to look for and test)
