but i have to agree, its better to invest in something at least decent regardless of "customizing" or not. even if you put the most chunted pickups
and best tuners and stuff in your squier, your guitar will still be a squier at the end of the day. if you can save up, i'd suggest getting an at least average guitar makes you wanna play more, out of the box at least.

wah.. i only changed my guitar's pickups after a year+
but then again, the stock pickups were pretty good to start with
