eh bros, my fren's car after overhauled, can manage to go around 120km/h max speed on highway after full throttle. and when going up the flyover, i can see that his speed went down from 100 to around 70~80. i can see got tremendous loss of power.

anybody can suggest what to do?he drives a satria 1.3 carb..very old model..

change an engine ?

Yup, just do a transplant... Nowadays the engine transplant cost almost same like overhaul already... Seldom people willing to do overhaul...

how bout other way?does it have something to do with the distributer, plug cable etc components?

This one hard to say, may be have to change a whole lot of parts to restore the ori condition since it's an old car... Multi causes there... Is the carb properly tuned?

Yup, just ask him transplant to newer multipoint injection 1.3 engine and he will appreciate it...

kinda hard la to do that..unless he's working. 1 more year and off he goes to work (same goes as me too )

i hope the engine died of 'natural cause' faster lol. then only can change engine
