QUOTE(yummy5566 @ Oct 16 2008, 02:35 AM) may i ask?? it's for Windows XP and it's been tested world wide that it's working fine.is it safe to use the TCPIP.SYS patcher mention inside "How to Configure BitComet for the Best Possible Speed"??? the Windows XP SP2 Connection Limit there I used it on my XP PC and so far no problem. But bear in mind that if u use that 3rd party patch, u dont apply the one in bitcomet. It's a one time patch. |

Download speed not only depends on that patch, there are still other factors affecting it. |

QUOTE(super macgyver @ Oct 26 2008, 05:44 PM) i can archieve full speed by below setting: That in normal circumstances isn't recommended. Would saturate your connection with overhead. QUOTE(super macgyver @ Oct 27 2008, 07:21 PM) then wat is ur setting? Generally 300 connections global max (I set mine to 23) and 80 per torrent.u can read his story at my siggy mar, that guy is now working at ban leong, maybe keep cheating company stock and ppl money again. But then again this is on an unthrottled connection, not sure how your settings work in an throttled scenario like TMNet. |

Hi,
I'm very very green in the world of torrents. I have always been scared of torrents because i never know how to use it.. Forexample, now I'm using uTorrent and my download speed is only around 4kB/s, very slow compared to normal download of 40kB/s. BTW, I'm in Penang using streamyx $66/month package. After reading some of the post in this thread, i learn that: 1) I should use BitComet. 2) Set portforwarding 3) use only 1 firewall in windows XP Hmm.. if i use Streamyx $66 package, what is the download speed i should expect..? Sure it should be higher than 4kB/s right..? Can all the BitComet sifus please help me to get better download speed.. Thanks alot.. Oh.. one more thing i forgot to ask.. Sometimes i see people talking about adding dunno what name and BitComet version number to the list.. what list is it..? This post has been edited by bright_angel_007: Oct 28 2008, 03:59 PM |
