both also same brand arrr? price? more to what purpose?
*
actually same price. diff brand.
one is asus(intel)
the other is compaq (amd)

purpose.. light gaming.. uni works for engineering (autocad i think), music, movies, browsing..
no programming or hardcore 3d FPS games

so which is better?

Is it possible for the specs of a notebook offered in PCFair to be different from those on the Net?

Found from the net:
Notebook: Asus X51RProcessor: Intel Celeron M 520 (1600 MHz)Graphics adapter: ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 (128 MB)Display: 15.4 inch 16:10 (1280x800 pixels)Weight: 2.7 kg 80Gb HDD

PcFair
Intel duo Core T2370-1.73Ghz with ATI X1100 256MB graphics card, 200gb HDD

any udang di sebalik mee? but I've seen this ASUS model being sold at a few stalls in pcfair, not only one particular stall. And the specs of this model for all the stalls are same.

It all depends on what you are going to do with your laptop and how good you are taking care of it...

For example: DON'T charge you battery when it is HOT or the laptop is HOT or the environment is HOT. In Dell laptops, the battery is hot if the battery indicator light flashes alternately blue and amber. It will reduce your battery life.

i don't mean the maintenance point. hehe..
i meant which can last me longer before it getting "outdate"
i know both models are budget models and cant be compared with most of the pros' laptop here. hehe
but i just wanna compare head to head between this two. cheers.
thanks for the replies icon_rolleyes.gif

The Nvidia Geforce 7150M in the first option is outdated http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphi...List.844.0.html

Even, ATI X1100 in the second option is also outdated. Sigh...

hahaha..
what about the processor then? which is recommended?
