Looking for some advice on what laptop to get:

1. Brand - No preference.

2. Budget - 2k and below

3. Specs - 512 or 1 gig RAM; CPU should be powerful enough to play DivX videos; need an integrated webcam; hard disk size isn't important since I can always upgrade it later; don't need an optical drive either

4. Size - 10" screen. Lightweight, preferably 1.2kg or below; more importantly, I need a decent-sized keyboard. The Asus Eee PC's keyboard is too small.

I considered the Twinhead E10, but read too many negative reviews on it. Key things I'm looking for are 1. portability, 2. comfortable keyboard and 3. integrated webcam. Mainly for surfing the web, chatting and VoIP on the go.

Any suggestions?

Isabell: it's a matter of opinion, choosing between those two. People complain that the Acer build quality isn't that great, but I've heard similar comments about some Dell laptops as well.

On the other hand, Dell is very well known for its after-sales customer support. I'd say just stick to your budget and do a side-by-side feature comparison between the Acer and Dell laptops in that price range.

As for XP or Vista, you probably won't have much choice there. Most of the laptops sold today will come with Vista pre-installed. You could always get a geek friend to install a *cough*legit*cough* copy of XP if you prefer that.

Good luck...
