Was told the retail is about RM550+ at the moment, but recently there's a promotion by Thinktank so was able to get it at RM380.

I got one. Useful for smaller camera and lens.
D700 + 28-300 = very tight.

The extra expandable space is good for putting water bottle, sweater etc.

Is that because of the height of the bag?

I think due to the width. D300s and below camera will fit in nicely.

28-300 a bit long, D700 a bit tall. Still can put in but its very very tight and hard to zip the bag.

D700 without grip. if with grip... impossible to go in already.
Later I snap a pic and post.

Try to put body first, lens on top. Then it's much easier for u to zip. Some ppl prefer to put that way, cos in case bag drop to floor, won't impact d lens. (if d lens more expensive than body hehe)

I am currently using a Tamrac Express 7.
Something different from the Lowepro, Crumplers and more common brands here.

Usual contents.
Canon 7D with Tokina PRO 116ATX with hood attached
430EX Speedlite
50mm F1.4 or 55-250mm
10.1" Netbook.
Spare battery and AAs

Just enough for me to store my normal use gear.

For shoots or more gear I use my KATA 467 and my "original" Canon freebie bag

Actually the Canon bag is quite big, can put 2 bodies with lenses attached.

The reason why I bought the Tamrac was it has a sleeve at the back so you can slide it over my roller suitcase when I travel, its small enough to be classified as a personal item so I can carry 2 bags into my flights.
