However, the XM8 LMG is slightly less powerful, so you'll need headshots or more bullets to bring down a running foe (as they all do). For support I find myself leaning towards the PKM (sheer firepower) or MG36 (accuracy).

In terms of stats, the PKM, the M249 and the QJU88 all share the same stats. I used to lug the MG36 last time. But now I find the higher ROF of the XM8 LMG to be more useful.

EA DICE Talks Battlefield: Bad Company Updates; Conquest Mode Next, Possible Patch After
QUOTE Following last month's release of Battlefield: Bad Company (PS3, 360), developer EA DICE has issued an update regarding its upcoming support for the game. At present, the team is working on the much-requested addition of the franchises' traditional Conquest multiplayer mode. That pack is currently undergoing certification and testing, and will be added to the game as free downloadable content. Once work on the Conquest Pack is concluded, the studio will devote more resources to the complaints with the game's online performance. While DICE doesn't know if it will be able to address the problems, it will be looking the following: * Clan support/private rooms/team chat * Auto balancing on servers * Continued support against stats exploits * VOIP issue on PS3 (working with Sony on this) * Squads might be split up when joining a server as a squad. This is due to team balancing in the games that are being joined, and usually resolves itself in round 2. "We would like to let you know that we are reading and listening to all of your feedback," the studio wrote on the game's official site. "We are very aware of the different issues you have told us you find most important." Source Seriously i think the split-up-squad thing has been pretty much fixed. Like what was quoted, the first round might get the squad mates split up but then the squad will reform itself in round 2. I was playing a 4 player squad member game last night and this is exactly what happened. All i can say is that DICE is definitely doing something to solve out issues with the game and i can hardly wait for the Conquest mode update to be up. Leaving out the EA word, you know why |

Cmon man, I want team chat! It's bloody hard to coordinate when the rest of the team can't even hear you, plus I've accidentally mortared some poor teammates who can't hear me yelling "gettoutofthebloodyway"

Fully understood what you meant. Really. I have the exact same experience myself, accidentally mortar-ing a couple of my mates and my squad-mates not like they talk Call for mortar strike and *Bam, killed 3 teammates. |

With random squads, I don't feel as guilty, but you know it still sucks if you're ALMOST out of reinforcements and you absolutely had to accidentally mortar em. However, the feeling of RPGing a wall to make way for my squad is .... indescribable. |

QUOTE(Lord_Ashe @ Jul 3 2008, 04:44 PM) Yea the wall breaking is a really super fun thing to do. However when using demo, sometimes i am a bit lazy to blow up the wall with the RPG since the reload is kind of slow and the bullets are limited, so i just take a detour But i do agree with you making a way out of a wall is a really great feeling. Last night there was this time where the enemies were all camping in the roof of a house (Not sure bout the map name but there is quite a bit of fog), and someone blew up the whole roof up leaving 4 or 5 of them scrambling for cover. And to add to it, one of my squad mates were busy shooting at them till his MG run out of bullets! A blardy MG out of bullets |

I've also found that antitank mines are verrrry useful, especially on maps where they tank rush you in the first 3 minutes However when using demo, sometimes i am a bit lazy to blow up the wall with the RPG since the reload is kind of slow and the bullets are limited, so i just take a detour But i do agree with you making a way out of a wall is a really great feeling.
