Almost all Japan Original figure made in china...except gundam...i think that is the reason china can out bootleg, the base of figure (without color) is good but the painting is poor

since they all made in china,other than price,how to differentiate the fake 1 n the ori?

the material used for the bootlegs is softer.. i mean.. easier to bend it..
and the nendoroid wud look glossy.. beside tat.. their paint job is the worst.. =X

Bootleg = Fake/Pirated.

Like those DVD/VCD we buy in Pasar Malam, those are also bootleg media.

For figure, bootlegs cost alot less, but will sacrifice details and quality. Especially for Nendoroids, the original are usually done using a mixture of ABS and PVC material, as nendoroids are prone to drop, hence they strengten certain parts with ABS (like the head, etc).

While bootlegs are usually just done purely on PVC or substance similar to it, hence it is prone to bending, and not so durable. Bootlegs also have below standard spraying job, and also utilize a cheaper spray substance, hence the more "glossy" look on bootleg nendoroids.

Newer packaged Nendoroids do have hologram stickers on the back of the box, and prices should be around the RM100+ region. If you see a RM50 nendo, chances are it is a bootleg. Also do check the box/packaging, bootleg usually have lower quality packaging.

Well so far I haven't got a bootleg item yet (touchwood)

PS - Bootleg also will fetch far less value in the 2nd hand market, if you planning to sell in the future.

when u wanna buy original one...remember search for this "Kadokawa production" (Kadokawa certified) sticker at the box, most ori nendoroid got this sticker...At before i see some shop sell those bootleg with sticker at the box, but not Kadokawa sticker, is same color silver sticker with their shop name



Add up...if you no found any Kadokawa production silver sticker at the front of box...check for behind of the box, got one silver "Hjapan" sticker.

got my nendoroid petit yesterday...

Got my asakura today...abit heavy

I notice that no kadokawa sticker infront of box..but got one Hjapan sticker at the behind of box.

this thread is just for nendoroids. there's plenty other anime toys out there..

and for your information, a normal nendoroid cost around 100 to 130, while a limited/exclusive one will be mpre than RM200..

Not all Nendoroids will have the Kadokawa sticker.

Kadokawa is a publisher. Some Nendoroids has the Kadokawa sticker is because the character is from a comics under Kadokawa's license

yea.. like for nendoroid al-azif the sticker prints Nitro Plus

ic...i also see orange sticker with certified word before. I wonder why haruhi and mikuru from same Suzumiya haruhi series got the kadokawa sticker but tsuruya san and asakura that i buy don't have this sticker...maybe they forgot to put ?
