if i were u..having such budget, i'll go for desktop in which i'll gain even more huge performance compare to a laptop.3K n above i can get myself a quad core processor with a high end graphic card which may help a lot when u do graphic work rendering starting in ur second year.It may be bulky to have a huge desktop but it is worth it.Most of my friends sold their laptops and get themselves desktop in their early years of study.

dear T's.. i read ram koolhaas theory about S,M,L and Xl.. if u studied at Shieffield, i'm sure u are particular bout this extraordinary theory..

i'm realy interested to dig more about it but the more i read, the more it confused me. i hope there is someone who can explain me bout this theory more simple and straight forward. tq..
