i guess my presentation techniques would be out dated already. i mean, nobody uses transparency+OHP anymore, right? what's an OHP? google it!

.
i usually have the usual drawings on boards. i never print large scale dwgs, bcoz it's too expensive. so i did my A1 presentation drawings in coreldraw, then automatically chopped it up into A4 pieces, printed it piece by piece, and glue it all back together to make an A1. simple, cheap and u dont need to queue at the shop/printlab.
in addition to the drawings, i usually have a working model that explains specific parts of the design that couldnt be explained through drawings alone. i hardly ever do a full model. just a sectional model - a model that is sectioned so that u could see the interior as well. like a cut pie. only i dont do the part that has been cut out. remember, there's no point in doing a model if it has already been successfully conveyed in 3D drawings!
finally, the transparency+OHP part. this is my favorite. although during my time, MSpowerpoint is already a good application for presentation, slideshow and animation, i still prefer the traditional way. with OHP, i can scribble my work WHILE i'm presenting. and since it is a transparency, i could do layers and layers of transparency, and even attempt at a crude, old-school animation

. and it's fun!
