Is tat we need to know eng very well and izit ease ti pass the eng assessment in Aus... You have to be able to understand a decent amount of the English vocabulary, and if all else fails.. just use one of those darn electronic dictionary things that have mandarin/english in them. I used to see soo many fobs use that in high school. Added on April 16, 2008, 7:55 am QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Apr 13 2008, 01:05 PM) How to work smart? Yep yep, you should try to finish the tutorial questions before the tute classes. That way you will be able to identify which problems you need help with, and then you can seek assistance from your tutor.. instead of getting home after the tute class and realising that you infact do not know how to do a particular question - thus needing to wait next week for your next tute Shouldnt i finish those tutorial question before the tutorial classes?Besides, how to learn maths without doing any exercise? I know understanding is important but without practice,it's still useless. Yeah, now i got a bit of time to play games after i finish all my work.Just left the online tutorial test but the server is down. Gonna play Sins of the Solar Empire later. Work smart? When you do homework, turn off the computer screen/tv/whatever. Allocate a set amount of time; say 1 hour to finish those tute questions? This will help you not to stall as much This post has been edited by babiix: Apr 16 2008, 07:55 AM |

QUOTE(haya @ Apr 23 2008, 06:17 PM) Its 148.9 here in Brisbane. I don't drive a car, as I find public transport (and my bike) is enough to get me around and to uni. I do miss the flexibility of a car through, but looking at the $15/hr my uni charges for parking, any idea of getting a car is erased. It was only for training And if you're 18, and even in the lowest bracket, and being paid $5/hr, something doesn't sound right. What are you working as babiix? |

QUOTE(AspireAcer @ Apr 24 2008, 03:33 PM) I dun think there is $5 wage out there. Yeah, I know... but for training I received $5 an hour which is equivalent to the minimum wage for kids that first start working at age: 14 yrs + 9 months. Of course, not many employers choose to pay those kids at minimum wage (ps: I'm talking about the retail/fast food sector)Minium will be $7 Coz the min age to work in WA is must be passed 14 years old and 9 months For age 18, the wage should be more than $10 that the rules if you work in "LEGAL" way! There is a list u can download from gov website to see what the min wage for what age. |

I like shopping centres here! You can walk to stores that you like without having to stop and rest your feet because they ache. Silly shopping centres in Malaysia make you walk foreverrrr.
And.. apparently they make really good Malaysian food at this place in Doncaster for those of you who are in Melbourne.... I always forget the name tho. |

QUOTE(notanon @ May 7 2008, 05:33 PM) ok guys, need info on unis, which are the good ones for engineering, im gonna be applying this friday for june 08 intake, right now its melb u, unsw, and anu, though i have been told that uwa is good as well. and only reason im choosing this four is because im rather ignorant about the other choices as i havent heard/read much bout them. In addition to Melbourne Uni + Monash in Melbourne, Swinburne isn't bad for engineering either.so ya, shud i consider any other universities for engineering? DO NOT go to RMIT for Engineering tho, it sucks. |

QUOTE(Cheesenium @ May 8 2008, 07:23 PM) Nah,a 9800 or 9600 will make me happier. That's not what my guy friends say that are doing Engineering. I've had someone ask me about Engineering before so I asked my friends.I kinda agree with you but i still dont get why people still like to go Melbourne when their engineering isnt as good as UNSW.UNSW's courses are more practical based.I have to go on the field to do surveying every 2 weeks. It was fun, though. Whenever i tell im studying in UNSW,they always ask me as if Melbourne Uni is much much better in engineering than UNSW.UNSW is like some crap uni to them. I somehow feel like i made a bad choice even though UNSW is a pretty awesome place to study. I thought RMIT's engineering is better than Melbourne U? They all said not to go to RMIT for Engineering as they've only heard bad things about it |

Optus and Vodafone have said that they would sell it prepaid.
But that will DEFINITELY bump the price up alot. The USD $199 is because they umm.. have to go on those data usage plans of $20 a month.. with that american company ( I forgot the name) PS: The data usage here would kill us |

QUOTE(eRiCCa @ Jun 27 2008, 03:35 PM) really? but how come so many indians doing that? i think that's because they outsource those things like in those customer services thingies, *cough* optus*cough* they don't really mind since they get cheap labour. PS: LOL, they put on fake american accents. i dunno, i've never ever had an indian telemarketer call me up before.OH YEA, if you want to be a TAXI DRIVER too!! so many indians doing... and they actually making quite a bit... but then again, dont plan to earn your tuition fees OR even daily expenses here... pretty hard though... unless you are really good and lucky and hard working and PRETTY!! HAHHAHAHAHA... my friend could work like a super girl, and she is pretty and hardworking... she used to work everyday... and in those restaurants where they pay 20bucks per hour + 100bucks tips a day... so... it depends AGAIN... normal people CANT do that!! I know for Roy Morgan you gotta have a minimum band of 8.8 for IELTS (academic) and min. band for 8.8 for the speaking task.. is that high? I HAVE NOOO IDEA. Ps, Roy Morgan isn't a telemarketing thing, its for market research. I included the IELTS thing cuz most of u guys are international students yea? |
