I think that, a girl want her bf to be beside her, love and warmness when valentine day or everyday. if she reli love you, she doesn't care about other thing.

I totally agree wit this.
If a girl loves you because you can give her Ferrari,
better get rid of her.
She will finish your money one day.
Guys dun need materialistic girl.
If you are poor, be creative, bake her a cake,
or cook a dinner, maybe with some candles too...

There's no generic answer actually. In order to find out what a girl really wants, you have to look into her heart.

I don't see why guys have to be the one planning and doing anything. Girls should play a part too. After all it's a celebration of the love of TWO people. I think like if both were to go for dinner, he should pay for her part and she pays for his part.

Guys stop being so traditional and get your gf to play her part too.

get necklace, bracelets or stuffs she can use. don't have to be exp. small teddies are cute also.

just spend time together for the evening.. doesn't have to be 5star vacation/restaurant also.. what u treasure is time spent together, not the value of the gift

i hate going out and join the massive crowd on VDAY, i prefer i quiet n private moment with my bf. hmm, gifts are not necessary for me. however, i don't fancy flowers/chocolates/soft toys as gifts la because it's just too typical. (haha, im so choosy)

like wat our friend here ssaid previously, going to the supermarket and cooking together at home is a good idea. i think it's romantic +sweet..plus, it's cheap! forget fancy restaurants!

I never celebrate Valentine's before.
I bet this year I couldn't celebrate with him too. Both of us are in hometown and I have to take good care of my granny.
I don't demand for luxurious gift from him.
As long as he always love and care me, everyday with him is valentine's day wub.gif

Missing him now wub.gif wub.gif

Easy, go for a romantic dinner----> ROMANTIC does not mean expensive, bring a small gift as suprise is enough, and bouquet of flower too. Later, give her a small kiss, and shes yours.

haha.. yalor..
going out dinner on vday is a waste of money, waste too much time waiting, and get stucked in the jam..
it'll be better to just get off someplace else.. quiet and decent place to have private moments.. blush.gif wub.gif
flowers are nice but they're a waste of money, u cant eat them, u can only keep them for a few days then it goes to trash after a few weeks/months
paired necklace or rings are more romantic wub.gif wub.gif
well at least it's something u put on everyday.. better than looking at rotting dried flowers..

I dont really fancy flowers, chocolate and all... I dont know why... Maybe I am more to "memories" type of person...

Dear @lice,

Regarding the meaning i had got the info from rynice(jess)

"Bird of Paradise flower common meanings are Freedom, Magnificance, Good Perspective, something strange and wonderful is about to occur."

I remember the 1st time i bought roses for her, she was suprised and happy and hugged me tightly, till i asked what type of flower she personally like. Her answer to me was "Tian Tang Niao". I have no reason why it was "bird of paradise flower" until rynice provided me the info. smile.gif

Preparing dishes for you love one is a good idea,

I always prepare dinner for my fiancee during weekend espcially sunday, it doesn't have to be everyday as long as she know that you care for her would do already.

Occasionally, i prepared lunch for her and carried all the way from Klang to KL for her. blush.gif

Np Buddy,

Let me teach you a simple dishes.

Go to hyper market and get those really pack chicken breast, few america or holland potato depending on your likely and also a packet of gravy(i used bbq favor).

This packet of gravy is easily available at any hyper, and is very simple to prepare, just pour in warm water and keep stirring the gravy powder till it blend well

Method of preperation for pan fried chicken

1) wash the chicken throughty
2) remove the yellow fat tissue of the chicken
3) marinate the meat with salt and pepper for extra fragrance and taste (for my case i replaced pepper as honey, my fiancee doesnt like pepper at all)
4) place the meat into fridge for at least 1/2 hour
5) ready to pan fried it till a lil golden brown crisp.
6) pour the gravy over the chickens and it's ready to be serve

Method of preperation for mash potato

1) wash the potato thoroughty
2) prepare a pot of water and boil the potato until it is soft
3) peel off the potator skin
4) place the potator on a bowl, add lil bit of salt and pepper and ofcos butter for fragrance and taste
5) use spoon to squash the potato even
6) pour the gravy over the potato and it's ready to be serve

Joyfulness and crystal tears expression from you love one : Priceless

Cheers

the gravy/sauce originally come in powder form, you have to mix with hot water and stir till it become paste form.
These refer to the gravy/sauce toping on chicken chop or stead

If you go shopping at market you would be able to see it on the spice/sauce corner

This plan is quite ONz worr. Im sure your gf will like it rclxms.gif

I think a bouquet of flower delivered to office/college desk, a lift after work/school to a pre-booked dinner (lotsa restaurants in town having valentine's dinner package and most of it quite worth for it) is quite turning on. Simple and nice smile.gif

Dont tell her that you've had a plan but everything was well prepared and arranged in advance, like your've already book a table for dinner, like you've put a flower on the dining table before you both reach, like you have hide a bottle of chilled wine/a box of chocs in car. Most girls just like to be pampered and indulge like a prince nia... rolleyes.gif

hm.... erm..i think it depends la
if u two are very steady, on for a very long time like 3-4 years, then an engraved ring is alrite.
But if like a few months, then u'll scare the girl off! unsure.gif

This year V day falls on Saturday..I'm sure lot of places will be flocking with crowds..I'm still planning where should i bring my gf and present for her, on tight budget this month liao sad.gif

First and foremost I need to order a bouquet of flower bcoz she just love flowers and the smell of roses, and after that..I don't know yet.

If i bring her to Palace of Golden Horses and have dinner there, is it great enuf? Coz my believe, expensive place -> less ppl -> more privacy laugh.gif Any1 been there before?
