Since you mentioned the previous door frame was attacked by termites.., did you ask pest control to come in? or directly uses metal frames?
*
Yes I did it around 1994-1996 I guess. Can't remember the exact year.

Plus I'm using the metal frames.

The contractors are Indonesian and the really particular about the

workmanship and tidy up my house every time they have finished

working.

My porch had cracked as well.

Water popping + glue cement + sand

I don't think that you just can install by yourself

because it's very frills job. I'm suggesting you to

buy the raw materials such as cement 1 bag, the

metal door frame, the door and knob and sand and

just pay the labor cost to the workers.

If your previous door can be fixed to the new door frame,

therefore no need to change for a new one. In my situation,

the previous doors are a bit bigger for an inch which it is

produced on year 1992. So I need to

change all those 3 doors include the PVC wash room

door. doh.gif

the cost for 1 metal door frame is RM70 and I'm using the

solid wood door and the cost is RM160. If playwood costs

around RM80.. I'll upload photos of my house later! biggrin.gif

My apartment @ 12xx sqf was painted by indonesian last week. Total cost is RM2300 (including paint, 3 colours) for 4 room, 2x toilet and kitchen. Including patching some holes and other random thing (eg. I ask them to remove ceiling fan, remove motor and seal it, etc). No undercoat required. Hope that helps with your estimation.

hmm wonder how you all get indonesian contact haha.. smile.gif

Yeah,.... good question. Many a times outside, I see good prices, but when I inquired, it's without installation. Delivery,... I think it's okay if we pay,.... but installation will cost a bomb too for doors.
