your area size is something like my house. Let me share some of the cost that I have paid:
1. Plaster ceiling - whole house (inclusive of several L boxes) - RM 8k 2. Change roof tiles - why? Have you considered painting over your old ones? Anyway, 1 cement roof tile is about RM 2.50, clay is double that, generally 1 tile covers 1 sqf 3. Painting - should set you back about RM 3k not inclusive of painting materials Have you considered marbling your toilets instead of tiling? and for your porch, have you considered pebble wash and cement render? |

nnpjj, dont forget what I mentioned is just the tiles, have not included the wooden frame to hold the roof (if this requires changing) and labour.
well, marble gives your house the hotel effect (some say more class) and if you are lucky, you may get marble as cheap as RM5/sqft labour maybe about RM3.50 - 4.50 depending on floor or wall. If you take that, tiling comes up to almost the same price. However, its up to you on what you like! unfortunately I do no have samples of pebble wash and cement render but pebble wash is basically using those small stones (comes in 20 kg bags) and cement render is basically using cement. |

i beg to differ, if you are engaging a contractor to do your knocking and banging, yes it will be very very expensive. But if you engage a couple of workers to do it, the cost is one of the lowest (to me). Banging of 4 walls (5x10) took me about 1 day to bang down and 1 day to clear.
Flat plasterceiling is cheap but the moment you do L-boxes, then the cost increases |
