QUOTE(tkh_1001 @ May 4 2008, 01:12 AM) maybe u can try with lower multiplier on the same cpu fsb? if cant stable then maybe its time to add ur VTT.... i heard they say for quad core u will have to adjust ur GTL as well.... Google on some info on GTL.i think posting this question in dk thread may help u more Still noob though. Managed to boot at 455MHz x 7.5 already. Thanks to tkh_1001 and Silverfire -pWs- |

QUOTE(clawhammer @ May 5 2008, 04:05 PM) You don't necessarily have to touch the VTT. In fact, not all processors are sensitive towards VTT and too much of it would kill. That is what I learn from the guys over at Xtreme. Plus, I didn't bump my VTT on both my Wolfdales to get 4Ghz stable. How bout quad bro?If I din add VTT, my computer cannot boot up at 3.4GHz (455x7.5). Any idea? -pWs- |

My Vcore is 1.2v under load w 3.3GHz.
Coretemp, the temp is 70 C +- Realtemp, the temp is 60 C +-. That is why I want to ask some opinions from Q9300 user here. -pWs- |

QUOTE(kmarc @ May 8 2008, 05:37 PM) Why can't it reach 3.4Ghz? You're already at 3.3Ghz at 1.2v ma..... Hahaa..no money la bro For penryn, the last I heard/read, the recommendation is not to go above 1.35v... The noctua HSF is nice but maybe you should get a high-end one like the TRUE QUOTE(kiong @ May 8 2008, 05:40 PM) its because its low multi, normally quadies walled arround 480 fsb... so 9450 also hard to go so high clock speed... Ya. It is because of the low multi. But i did try 3412MHz. Stable for for few hours then BSOD. I think need a lot of VTT. -pWs- |
