QUOTE(dai86 @ Sep 16 2008, 02:01 PM)
star can easily differentiate by their star pattern. indian or sri langka normally more than 6, while the other is 6 or less. the shape of the stars i mean. haha... right uzairi?

*
The shape of the star depends, some indian/sri lankan have burmese lookalike star pattern but as they grow older the missing star lines would appear. Plastron would be a better choice to differentiate Indian/Sri Lankans with Burmese counterparts.

QUOTE(camillenoir @ Oct 5 2008, 08:41 PM)
hey.. let's play a game. no prizes for the right answer though biggrin.gif

[img]http://www.geocities.com/camillenoir/boxie.jpg[img]

those two are from the same clutch, hatched a day apart. they are now about two months old, both equally active and eating well.

the question: why is there such a huge size difference between those two?
*
QUOTE(camillenoir @ Oct 5 2008, 10:11 PM)
chetz.. anti-climax.

i should've stated that rafiqos, uzairi and mamba are barred from answering because they knew beforehand doh.gif

3 babies came from that clutch.. one of the twins didn't make it. crossing my fingers for more twins from their parents (like i knew which, LOL!!!)

I have a same situation here...two of my RES are from the same batch where they were hatched at the same time...but the male one has grown way way way way bigger than the female one...they feed on the same diet as well as the same captivity...

what is going on anyway? anyone has any idea?
*
This is because the more aggressive male would get the food more compared to others, in this case u need to separate the aggressive male to another container.

QUOTE(peter pet @ Oct 7 2008, 03:39 PM)
i do alternate hibiscus leaves with kang kung..is it ok?
*
Kangkung is not good for tortoises as they bind the calcium from being absorbed by the body, after a few meal u can see "white poo" coming out from them.

This tortoise recommend to live in place like what?

That's a Malayan Box Turtle C.Amboinensis. If you have a lawn you can place them there, if not a toyogo would do just fine with some proper water filtering.
