Hi.
I'm new to OC and had only tried it out for real today.
I had own my 7300GT for about a year now and it was to replace my old FX5700LE.
Never attempt to OC it 'cause I really considered myself lucky to be able to find a replacement AGP card, and getting a slight upgrade at the same time, when the FX5700LE got fried.
Didn't wanna mess up 7300GT and have myself out on search for another one.
But over the last week I've been thinking of getting a new PC all together.
So I thought what the heck, let's see what the limit of my lil 7300GT.
And here's my result, using ATI tool:
Factory Clock: 400/500
Tweaked Clock: 600/1000
And 600/1000 is actually the 'safe value', which by the way, exceeds the limit allowed on RivaTuner i.e. 600/750.
First sign of freeze/artifacts occurs at 649/1049.
I don't know much 'bout this but the gains sure got me impressed.
I then use the 'scan for artifacts' function at 600/1000 for 20 minutes and there's still not sign of artifacts.
The temperature never got above 88 as well.
So for all of you who're more experience out there, please tell me what do you think.
Is this a good result as I think? Or is there something bad that I overlooked?
Thanks in advance.
*Seems like I spoke too soon.
After the while the program detected artifacts from time to time.
Really minor ones but I think I'd better lower the figures.
